Sold out today , for a tidy profit, just expecting a bit of a retracement once through 50. Will kick myself if I miss a contract win. But that's share trading. Hope to be back in soon.

Is there another contract win in the offing to account for this afternoon's price rise?

I did average down, my initial buy price was at 72p!
Bought a few more at 24p, so looking at approx 64p for breakeven.
It's getting there slowly!
Should really have sold and taken a loss initially, but hey ho!
hope you get out at breakeven /small profit and them probably invest in one of the other players, such as PFC or HTG, as i think oil services has a lot of recovery potential

Thanks for your honest Lamprell share story Tyrone. We have all been there. 16k seems a lot to just kind of write off and maybe you should start to plan an exit strategy. The company seems to work on low margins from its order book and struggles to turn a profit. Maybe look for an up tick on news or a set of results not showing a loss and take your smaller loss and move on.

Thought about averaging down along the way but realistically I was never gonna buy again, or below 50p as I decided to write the 10k shares off. Didn't think they'd ever recover from ~20p tbh.Only stayed in for the entertainment value and a hope someone buys them out.I think the mgmt cook the books and only a matter of time before another story rears its head. I hope I'm wrong as I'd love some more of my losses back.Good luck to all those still in after all these years.

I'm hoping this will move to 165p so I can get my money back :) as I've hung in here for some years now.

Actually, nasnas, it was 3 and a half years ago and not even 3 times the current price even then. A year ago the share price was no higher than now, or even lower depending on the day you choose. Plenty of room for recovery, though, if really good contract news comes along.

Popped pretty well on that break of 35p highlighted above, with the price up another 6% and closing in on that key 40p level.

Over to market participants to decide the sell point..

And another bump.Just need a big contract announcement(Aramco) and these could really fly....

Well, it looked precarious a short while back with sellers in size at 32 and the price tumbling at one point with a very wobbly overall chart.

It's clearly all change now with the vaccine news and it's trying to break key levels with the price currently 34.8. Always struggle to buy this one, usually very small if I do as it is high risk, but worth a watch to see if that 35p mark breaks for a bullish short term move.

Another jump, presumably speculators on the government's green policy towards wind farms.

New article in upstream magazine about the Armco contracts. Unfortunately I don't have a subscription so can't read the article, but it says 2 companies have taken a lead in getting the contracts. LAM ???

It's a small contract. Will it have any real effect?

Bought back in today, hope this contract actually earns money, I think the term is "busy fools" and this company are masters of making no money on contracts. I personally think the management have seen the light. So onwards and upwards.

Lamprell have previously been awarded work and often have ended up paying the buyers for it.

Why is this only up barely 5% despite their latest contract award?

New contract looks like good news to me as building a strong foothold in Saudi Arabia. As a Saudi company started by the King IMI must surely be in line for a lot of the future work.
