Trying to riddle out these share price movements is a waste of time.
We know that the MMs clobber any large seller that they get wind of.
So that could be it.
Maybe a potential contract win was deferred. That could be it.
Blofeld have skin in this game and one presumes that it's a longer term bet.
The management bought shares at higher price levels. Will they do so again?

It's mostly fishy if you ask me. But I'll speculate!

It seems that Blofeld were happy to buy up to £1 ish. Their interest looks strategic and their wallets may be deep. So it could be reasonable to expect them to show up when there's a decent holding to be grabbed.
The MMs love to smash up sellers (of non-tiny holdings). With a fairly large exodus of middle management since the CEO took over I wouldn't be surprised if some holdings had come up for sale.

What we await is positive news on the revenue side. And the wait goes on and on....

Naturally if the Lamprell family want to sell then we'll wake up to a bid some day. Could Blofeld ultimately be interested? Who knows.

Yes. And the punters are today throwing their shares cheaply at the MMs for Blofeld to hoover up in due course.
LAM will be taken out by the industry - for good reasons or bad, within several months or several years. I don't see it remaining as an independent.
Meanwhile we need some new business.

Blofeld shareholding now above 10%. The shares are too cheap with oil now strong.

The price action definitely suggests serious interest around the 100p level.
It sometimes appears like a tug of war between a buyer and a seller. Could easily be the case.
New business - or the lack of it - will ultimately decide our fate.

Crude now at c$75. Lam shares are too cheap with oil 8n an up trend at $75. I think Barc has to right price target.

1al, on the iii site, says Barclays have initiated coverage with a 'buy' recommendation and a target price of 180p. There's confidence!
