28/2/2016 14:34 | Hi churchtower , the above link is to the article, I'm holding here in size and am intrigued at the rate of change in the business, I was impressed with the background on Novero and why it made such a good fit; hxxp://www.laird-plc I'm guessing the outlook in the upcoming results will determine the shareprice reaction equally as much as the results themselves . | rhomboid
28/2/2016 12:13 | BUY recommendation by Midas in weekend Daily Mail. Worth reading the full article. CH. | churchtower
24/2/2016 14:33 | 61905 shares according to ADVFN traded up to this time today, half of them apparently buys and the MM's mark the Company down over 2%. Difficult to understand in light of recent statements of growth and prospects by Laird. CH. | churchtower
23/2/2016 09:59 | Laird will produce a webcast on the day of their full year results at 9am on Wednesday 2nd March. To register for the webcast, go to:http://www.invest | churchtower
22/2/2016 16:31 | presenting at the World Mobile show in Barcelona this week | wynmck
19/2/2016 10:09 | Full Year Results to be announced on 2nd March. Recent statements such as " Our Wireless Systems business continues to go from strength to strength, performing particularly well in connected transport where we offer excellent solutions in a strong market, further enhanced by our acquisitions" give me confidence that Laird is well positioned to deliver the promise of another year of growth. CH. | churchtower
08/2/2016 13:08 | i think sierra results are weighing on the wireless sector | zipstuck
03/2/2016 14:48 | Artemis Investment Management are shown today as having given a vote of confidence in Laird's prospects with an increase in their holdings since July last year of 5,168,323 shares. They now hold 15.85% of the issued share capital. This is a total of 43,004,309 shares compared to 37,835,986 on 8th July 2015.CH. | churchtower
30/1/2016 18:30 | A few more upgrades would be nice before ex Div date. | philipmidgley
30/1/2016 16:18 | Dr S - It would be nice to think so, but probably the upgrade by Investec from hold to buy with a new target of 410 is the more likely explanation. CH. | churchtower
29/1/2016 16:53 | CH 3.6% up since your 10.00 post, so possibly recognition of your suggestion? ;-) | dr_smith
29/1/2016 16:09 | Hoping this rise on strong volume is a recognition of Laird's growth prospects and not an early indication of a possible bid. Would very much like to see the Company remaining in UK hands. CH. | churchtower
21/1/2016 09:41 | Mixed update there, but it looks like it is well in the price. Clearly, there has been a few bid rumours around this company recently, and with the stock well off its high, could this be the ideal time to pounce? Somewhere around the £4.50 mark was mentioned. Watching on with interest. | sphere25
21/1/2016 09:38 | In a different climate to the one at present I am sure that this would have risen even higher than this on such a trading statement. Such a comment as "Our Wireless Systems business continues to go from strength to strength, performing particularly well in connected transport where we offer excellent solutions in a strong market, further enhanced by our acquisitions. " is particularly encouraging and worthy of note." The dividend yield now stands at close to 4%. CH. | churchtower
21/1/2016 07:34 | An encouraging statement. The Management are to be congratulated on the continuing diversification of the business which has resulted in offsetting the present weakness in the mobile phones market. Although severely challenged by current chaos in the stock market I remain a strong holder of Laird shares. CH. | churchtower
21/1/2016 07:33 | Statement as expected - wait and see what happens to smart phones in the second half | zipstuck
15/1/2016 06:24 | I would like to now if the writer of the column by any chance had purchased or friends purchased shares before it was published. Just asking the question. | philipmidgley
12/1/2016 19:03 | Whilst there are obviously differing interpretations as to why neither Laird or Amphenol has thought fit to comment on the rumour, I would have thought that Laird in particular would have given due consideration to their shareholders and dispelled such a rumour if they had no knowledge of it. After all Christopher Williams is the Chief Business Correspondent of the Telegraph and it seems unlikely, if he wishes to retain his credibility, that he would be quoting information which inspired his article without very good cause and infers that he has reliable sources that he is willing to trust. We shall wait and watch developments with interest. CH. | churchtower
12/1/2016 17:33 | Thank-you EJ. I phoned them friday 4.30 to iron out any problems for Monday online trading. They offered web rates to deal over phone if online has a problem, which I am happy with. It could just be that my buy was out of synch with volume for sale at that time. I only mention it as it possibly co-incided with the news. | dr_smith
12/1/2016 16:25 | Not so good today. I was expecting better. Looks like the rumour mill doesn't have strong legs. Let see what tomorrow brings. | philipmidgley
12/1/2016 09:49 | Perhaps some clarification of Amphenol's intentions will be given with the trading statement due next week. CH. | churchtower
11/1/2016 14:43 | The suggested valuation of Laird for a possible takeover bid is from what I can see only 8% above the 12 month high. This would hardly be regarded as a generous premium for a Company with such excellent growth prospects and talented management. Any suitor will have to do much better than that to succeed. As already stated It is my hope that Laird will remain under UK control. CH. | churchtower
11/1/2016 10:27 | Laird is almost unique in the UK in what it does. So it would be a shame if we lost it to the US. On the other hand everything has a price... | ramridge |
