Acq.
I don't see it that the CEO is not aggressive enough, just that he is not rounded enough and very weak / useless in finance / commercial and sales / marketing.
Agree on a takeover, surely a few must have passed the slide rule over KMK - wonder what they didn't like ???

Could you call it ‘dogs dinner terribly weak,’ like you did for UPGS though? Pretty please...

Kromek share price looking terribly weak.

Will the significantly further slump be as dire as the UPGS slump though? The (50p to 190p) kind of slumps in less than 2years are the ones I quite like...

By the way, you never got back about your scare story of Kromeks £63m debt owed by the end of the financial year. Still waiting on tender hooks for the QP exclusive:)

Wouldn't be surprised if Kromek soon slumps significantly further.

Hard hat time.

Graph looks dire.

I’ve asked quepassa that question a few times, never had an answer. Just had a quick look through his profile and 10,400 posts... uncle QP I thought you were saying my 400 were a bit excessive?!

But the most liked and successful comment of those 10,400 was saying what a ‘dogs dinner’ a company called ultimate products (UPGS) was in feb 2019, share price then 50p.

Fast forward, 1yr 10months and that ‘dogs dinner’ of a company is priced at 190p yesterday . Hopefully Uncle QPs can repeat that trick with Kromek! Uncle QP, as an early Christmas present, could please give Kromek the QP ‘dogs dinner’ award??!

Yawn.

Share price is not perky. The graph looks dire - as already pointed out by boomboy.

Agreed Nick, all looking quite perky indeed. Thought I better make a post here as it’s been a while - otherwise uncle quepassa will start counting all my old messages again while he’s waiting.

Look at the drag factors for Kromeks share price - a long period of needing fundraisings and a ceo who is not thought of as aggressive enough. What I believe we’re going to see is not a company fighting against the wind, but a company with multiple’pull’ factors with the wind blowing behind them in the form of the £329m U.K. nuclear detection budget that ST stated Kromek should be a beneficiary of. Then look at the CZT scanners, which research shows will be strong following little demand during the pandemic to replace ageing scanners with best in class technology. Then look at the huge budgets being proposed by the US. Government in biological detection, a move which other countries around the world will surely copy. It would seem every segment of Kromeks business is looking promising. Not only looking promising, but promising with huge economic moats in terms of IP.

Also with the huge spending recommended by Congress on Wednesday for biological pathogen detection, I suspect US defence giants might be looking to get a piece of the action. What better company to buy? Only a current market cap of £60m and offices already in the US. That would be a fantastic acquisition for a US defence giant.

I am growing in confidence that Kromek will be a star of 2022. My Kromek shares are currently on a 0.17% loss after yesterday’s strong performance and I’m increasingly certain that Kromeks share price will perform well in the coming year.

All this IP they poses in an incredibly interesting area of biological pathogen detection is currently in the share price for nothing. This will not remain the case for much longer, of that I am certain.

Emphasis on your last sentence “Hopefully, that will change in the next few months.”

The chart is actually still well inside the three month downtrend. Has to breakout of this before it starts to look healthy.

5 months since last update on Covid detector. They seemed confident it worked back then so why 5 months of nothing if there's demand for the machines? If the machines worked 5 months ago considering urgency of current situation why haven't they sold any in the last few months??

Why not RNS the results of the 3rd party validation? Seems to me the orders are so small they would be an embarrassment to announce but Just like B00mboy... hope i'm wrong!!!

17th July

"The Group engaged with potential customers for the system to develop deployment models and identify how it can best fit their needs ahead of customisation. In the second half of the year, the Group commenced piloting the system for the detection of airborne COVID-19 at an airport. Post period, the piloting has been expanded to include schools, a second airport, being Teesside International Airport, and other locations. The Group has also engaged in validation of the technology in third party laboratories and the results are very positive on both the detection levels, sensitivity and false alarm rates, making the technology performance comparable to existing RT PCR test protocols."

11th May

"Furthermore, the Group remains excited about the potential for its new market segment of Biological Threat Detection. During the second half of the year, the Group commenced piloting its airborne COVID-19 detection solution at an airport and at another public place, which are progressing according to plan and the Board looks forward to providing an update on the next steps in due course."

You’d think with the £329m U.K. nuclear detection budget Kromek should benefit from, that Simon Thompson mentioned in his article. Plus the growing bio detection budgets as mentioned above, all around the world, Kromek should benefit from this and the share price should react. But just stays low... very similar to Xaar, Xaar had a lot of IP that the market didn’t value. Xaar hit lows of 25p ish last year and reached highs of 215p. Keeping a close eye on Kromek, the doubt of other participants in the market of Kromek despite what I see does make me nervous. Not prepared to go all in like boomboy, but increasingly tempted to go beyond 10% of my portfolio..

Very very interesting news today...

A few snippets...

As the current pandemic shows, we must not wait for a devastating crisis to occur to invest” in adequate early detection resources, U.S. Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA) said during a Wednesday hearing.

Several experts called on massive U.S. investment in early detection of new and emerging biothreats, saying the United States was unprepared for the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We need these systems to produce robust data that can be used for rapidly characterizing pathogens and tailoring diagnostics and countermeasures – vaccines and medical treatments.

That would mean investments of $10 billion per year for 10 years. While this may sound like a huge sum, it is far more affordable than insufficient action,” said Weber. “The COVID-19 pandemic alone cost an estimated $16 trillion to the United States in under two years, in addition to the human toll and detriments to national security which are not well quantified.

To offer meaningful protection against global biological risks, the world needs a layered defense, comprised of effective measures for prevention, detection, and response,”

Well if this isn’t the best time to be rolling kit like this out, when is?

Fascinated by such technology and looking forward to see what it can offer.

Will be keeping a low profile on here from now, until things develop.

It is all speculation, even though Kromek say it works, the word of an AIM company cannot be trusted.

Boomboy, Kromek say it works and they’re trying to sell it they say. I’m guessing they are in talks with a multiple governments, talks are probably slowly going, bogged down in the details. Kromek are probably pretty wary of making an announcement on biological detectors that isn’t as good as the market expects - given their last ‘upto’ £17m saw the share price drop. If I were the CEO I’d hold off announcing any sales until it’s a good number - as I’d think if it’s not a big enough number, the market will probably give me another battering. Governments are slow beasts, need patience at this point boomboy

AQC. I am no longer a 100% believer in kmk. Simply because we investors have been ignored by the BOD and left in the dark.
Regarding blog boards I can honestly say I have enjoyed your blogs. Not that I have agreed with all you have said but what you say is level headed and in the most…… agreeable.
However, my, as much as most on here, frustrations are the lack of respect to investors by the company. I have emailed as such to Arnab Basu and should I get a response then that will be known on here.

Either you believe the detector works and Kromek are in talks with governments, or you don’t. Even though the evidence is mounting that it does work, until there is an RNS on its sales nobody knows. Not the people who made £25k of trades today, sending the price down 1%, and not anybody on this board including myself.

But in the meantime Kromek are ahead of analysts forecasts and due to make a small profit while we wait.

We have heard all this news, aqc. Unfortunately nothing is happening and it’s NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. If it was it would have happened by now. Those news snippets are released for the benefit of some journals doing their job and for rampers to keep loading on blog board like this.
