Does the following sound like someone who is about to sign a massive Government contract? Or does it sound like someone who is struggling to sell any quantity so went to the press to make his case and hopefully drum up some support? Seems desperate to me. Hope i'm wrong....... Thanks aqc888, appreciate that. Yes I’ve decided to pitch in to help the discussion along, sometimes think we risk losing the bigger picture here. This biological warfare specialist, Hamish de Breton Gordon, who the article says is acting as a consultant to Kromek. He formerly led both the UK Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Regiment and NATO’s Rapid Reaction CBRN Battalion (according to that Express article on Kromek in October - hTTps://www.express.co.uk/news/world/1507218/bond-no-time-to-die-not-too-farfetched-manipulation-pathogens-pandemics). That’s one hell of a CV. Imagine the expert advice he’ll be giving the company on how their bio-security product could actually be used in the field, and how many high-level international government contacts he might be giving them access to.

Very exciting times, looking forward to the next round of developments. Hope promethium is still around to share the coming excitement! Soon boomboy and dexter will be united in their Christmas joy for Kromeks coming success! Or maybe I’ve had one too many mulled wines. Extremely excited though by Kromek and the opportunities ahead in the very near future

That it’s the UAE is very interesting too since some companies there already have links to Oxford Nanopore’s core technologies. October 2020: Abu Dhabi’s International Holdings Company invested £39m in Oxford Nanopore (so that’s pre-IPO). And just last month, Oxford Nanopore won a £68m contract to supply UAE’s G42 Laboratory. Thanks all. Note that The National News is a news service based in the Middle East and the article refers to the UAE. Perhaps that's the ideal market to get the first sales? Lots of wealth can buy you a lot of things but usually not protection against novel viruses. Except if you use that wealth to buy yourself the new technology produced by a certain UK company...!

Fantastic. RNS announcing order of 2000+ Kapscan machines from UK gov Monday morning then? Or more BS and still haven't managed to sell any yet? "Kromek, a company based in north-east England, is looking to develop thousands of the machines — which are about the size of a domestic printer — and position them at airports, schools, hospitals, laboratories and government buildings over the next year. This would allow authorities to know the moment a new, potentially deadly coronavirus mutation, such as Delta or Omicron, enters the UK. It could also help prevent future pandemics, buying scientists time to study new illnesses and develop vaccines."

The previous errors of Kromek have made the market ignore/ treat the board with little trust or attention. However, we are now hearing from the top experts in physics and biological pathogens putting their weight behind it. To me this is no longer a dodgy AIM company making up nonsense. This is a golden opportunity from Kromek being ignored by the market for the sins of Kromeks past.

Just to remind everybody of Kromeks market cap of £60m, and the margin of 52%. A £1.5bn, or even a tiny fraction of that, would do wonders to the share price. Exciting times. Kromek currently make up 7.5% of my portfolio and I’m seriously considering upping that to 10% next week.

Inter company debtors completely irrelevant, simple board approval to extend terms. Consolidated accounts all that matter (with the debtor on one side and creditor on the other being eliminated), capital structure of subsidiaries really comes down to tax considerations.

"Amounts due to parent undertaking are repayable on demand. However, Kromek Group plc (ultimate parent company of Kromek Limited), has treated this balance as a debtor due in more than one year as it is not expected to materialise into cash over the next 12 months." Do you have any particular reason for thinking Kromek owing £63m to Kromek is of concern?

I think you got quite a bargain then AQC. I topped up a few days ago myself. I'm very aware this is a pre-profit stage company and I don't expect to see any really sustained gains until they reach consistent profitability or are taken over. Until then it is hard to value and subject to fickle sentiment.
