01/12/2021 12:20 | I was stuck in front of a TV this morning, and saw this item on BBC News. Watch, and wonder - where is Kromek in all this? Starts around 10:47 for 5 mins or so... | supernumerary
01/12/2021 08:42 | The publicity / prestige is good though. | dougmachin
01/12/2021 08:29 | Yes. We put all our hard earned in and Basu gets all the prizes. | b00mb0y
30/11/2021 23:01 | Great find AQC888 and really good to hear this. | dougmachin
30/11/2021 22:49 | Kromek CEO awarded Honorary Fellowship 30/11/2021 Dr Arnab Basu, the chief executive of Sedgefield-based Kromek Group plc has been honoured with the highest accolade bestowed by the Institute of Physics (IOP), an honorary fellowship. The IOP is the professional body and learned society for physics in the UK and Ireland. The honorary fellowship is the highest accolade it offers, to reflect an individual’s exceptional services to physics. Dr Basu has been recognised by the IOP for: ‘outstanding and ongoing contributions to business in the field of physics-based technological innovation, scientific advances of immeasurable significance, and commitment to the global advancement of security and our health.’ As founding chief executive of university spin-out, Kromek, Dr Basu has grown the company into a global market, exporting products to more than 40 countries, and employing in excess of 150 people, including at sites in Pennsylvania and California. Kromek’s central aim is to deliver detection capabilities which make the world safer and healthier. Its developments cover sectors including radiation and nuclear detection for deployment in civil and defensive environments, and medical imaging for the early diagnosis of life-shortening or limiting conditions such as cancers and osteoporosis. Most recently, Kromek has diversified into biosecurity, developing the world’s first airborne covid-19 detection machine, as well as a broad-spectrum device which could be used to build national or global early warning system for pathogens, emergence and spread. Dr Arnab Basu MBE DL, said: “It is tremendous honour to receive this prestigious recognition from the Institute of Physics and a testament to the exceptional dedication and ingenuity of my team at Kromek. We are all immensely proud of the work we do and the things we have achieved in delivering innovation to make the world safer and in helping people to live longer, healthier lives.” | aqc888

30/11/2021 22:02 | The market doesn’t believe anything they say, so may as well stay quiet... Infact if the bod said things are going terribly the share price would probably rise, since usually the opposite is true! | aqc888
29/11/2021 17:13 | It would be good to see anything from this BOD! Even if it’s just to put us out of our misery. | b00mb0y
29/11/2021 16:00 | Be good to see some data on how well it works or otherwise? | simithy
29/11/2021 14:57 | Pretty strange that when a new variant is on the loose people are able to travel on the tube home with zero testing. Then only test when they get home... with the Kromeks system any arrivals from any airplane would be identified immediately that had a dangerous new strain... no spreading on the tube/taxi etc. The new strain would be identified before it had any chance to spread.... | aqc888
26/11/2021 13:55 | AQC888. I for one sincerely “hope” you are right. I put all my investment on research/belief in KMK/BOD at the IPO. Now, what’s left of that investment has turned into a high risk gamble based on HOPE. | b00mb0y
26/11/2021 13:36 | This detector has the potential to totally transform Kromeks share price. Maybe a mix of the two wide spectrum & covid detectors. They have a sale price of £20k on a 52% margin. So if they make sales of 1000 detectors globally that would be a £10m+ profit. All not included in forecasts. Kromeks current market cap is £55m. Equity development predictions are much higher than mine with Paul Hill suggestion of a £500m global market with Kromek gaining 20% implying a £50m annual profit. Granted the management suck, but once these start selling it will be a snowball effect. As soon as one international airport installs one all will follow - it will be seen as a standard piece of boarder protection. There are 150 international airports in the US alone with countless terminals/gates. Exciting times. Could go to £1 very quickly in my view, if all gos well | aqc888
26/11/2021 13:16 | A bit of irrational selling with the market fall, I say irrational but as yI agree with that KMK should be perceived as a hedge. More virulent Covid strains just emphasise the need for KMK's forthcoming product and creates the prospect of more demand. The market probably won't perceive KMG as a 'covid stock' until the Company starts making formal announcements on covid detector machine completion which should be this year. The broader bio-terrorism product should be first quarter next year I believe. | nick2412
26/11/2021 12:31 | So what do you see this share price going to on your basis? | b00mb0y
26/11/2021 12:19 | AQC888 - totally agree, this has to be a hedge against the battering. | dougmachin
26/11/2021 11:56 | These variants are going to keep popping up it would seem. Kromek are ideally placed to deal with this threat. Kromek should also offer a small hedge against the risk of these variants battering the rest of your portfolio, great entry point. I can see the market including Kromek falling a bit further next week. At which point I’ll be buying back those shares I sold at 16.5 | aqc888
26/11/2021 11:30 | AQC888. These are all big IF’s. You have said 3 x “ifs” in you last blog. As I said earlier even a 100% increase from here only takes us to a paltry 0.26p. I don’t think this is going to happen now. Love to be proven wrong. | b00mb0y
26/11/2021 08:53 | If Kromek make an announcement now - even if they’ve only sold a pathetic amount of detectors- it would surely get a lot of global media attention in the current situation. I’m the most bullish on Kromek I’ve been in a long time. This is the moment Kromek can pull off a dramatic turn. If just one multinational blue chip says they are buying some there will be a flood of orders | aqc888
26/11/2021 08:41 | Any announcement regarding the detector will extra momentum and attention in the current situation... | aqc888
26/11/2021 08:27 | Surely the board of airline companies should be at least publicly trailing this detector as a show to investors they are attempting to be pro active? | aqc888
26/11/2021 08:24 | IAG down 15% this morning, if only there were a way to check arrivals for this new variant.... | aqc888
26/11/2021 04:04 | Step in Kromek for any travellers from red listed countries. A perfect opportunity to make a difference ??? IMHO DYOR | strategicinvestor2 |
