I've not seen reported before that a US Aircraft Carrier was out of action for 2 months ...but this is stated on page 5 of the Jan 2021 Apollo Report.

"Biological threats jeopardize national security. COVID-19 put a U.S. aircraft carrier out
of commission for two months, sent the Joint Chiefs of Staff into quarantine, breached
the White House, and hospitalized the Commander-in-Chief. The pandemic brightly
illuminates how our national security vulnerabilities increase and our deterrence
capabilities falter during biological events. Rogue states wishing to challenge American
primacy could take advantage of the Nation’s disease-stricken state to test our country’s
ability and willingness to maintain global order.

Some of the terms and technology mentioned in this article sound very supportive of Kromek's new bio detection programme.

"The Apollo Program for Biodefense — which at $10 billion annually would be a fraction of what the COVID-19 pandemic has cost — would create an environment in which “we detect and continually trace any new pathogen,........................................

The Apollo program for Biodefense addresses more than individual disease treatment. Its global scope of prevention includes a proposed national pathogen surveillance and forecasting center. Current infectious disease forecasting capabilities rely on data that may be unavailable for weeks. By “aggregating diverse data sources in real-time” researchers can forecast infectious disease outbreaks to further predict the likelihood of potential pandemics. Real-time monitoring means gathering information from “clinical molecular diagnostics, distributed sentinel surveillance, digital pathogen surveillance, laboratory biosafety monitoring, and animal and environmental pathogen surveillance.”

Does make me laugh. The share price was below 10p a few weeks ago & it's more than doubled in that time. And someone wonders why the share price drops 5%.

Just listened to today's Milton's micro cap vid on 'Directors talk'
I was just curious to see what he thinks is a better place for your money...after selling Kromek at a 5 year low...whos just about to present a world leading prototype that might be a transformation company maker for itself..!!

Small cap mining company's...so there..

The Miton UK Microcap Trust intends to invest primarily in the smallest companies, measured by their market capitalisation, quoted or traded on an exchange in the United Kingdom at the time of investment. It is likely that the majority of the micro cap companies held in the Company’s portfolio will be quoted on the FTSE AIM All-Share Index (an index consisting of all companies listed on the Alternative Investment Market which meet the FTSE’s eligibility criteria) and will typically have a market capitalisation of less than £150 million at the time of investment

I agree.
But sooner than later this share price will be hitting the glorious highs of 2014. Then beyond!

More people are selling than buying.

In all seriousness, when you invest in small, pre-profit, companies in emerging technologies, you have to expect the price swings to be fairly major. Goes with the territory.

From Equity's last update...I can't remember seeing the Nov announcement in the press.

"In November, the UK government announced that it would spend £329m over the next 5 years to beef
up its nuclear detection capability. This budget is being allocated for border and inland security (city &
critical infrastructure) – from which Kromek, as a British business post Brexit, is likely to receive its fair
share together with ongoing D3S trials."

Got their name all over it. Annoying they provide delivery and deadline dates, but not an award date.

Re post 3967 - the govt don't anticipate announcing the outcome of this soft tender (its not a procurement contract) until 3rd Jan 22. It does however fit KMK perfectly.

It's hard to imagine Kromek not getting a substantial part of this requirement.

Interesting read and very thought provoking. Let’s hope that KMK can do the job with these pathogen finding instruments and get them to market ASAP. Not just for the benefit of making a few bob on our investment but for the benefit of everyone, everywhere.

As highlighted here, this is why Kromek's pathogen detection technology will be so vital, life-saving & in demand in years to come
