Excellent news of course, though military contracts have a habit of cost and time over-runs. Hence how the end point of the contract is defined is rather important if the budget is fixed price. Given the nature of the kit, I can't imagine that there are precise performance specifications to meet at this stage. Some sort of stage payments against criteria agreed as things progress, I hope. KMK surely appreciate the difference between civilian kit and military systems for operational use - many aspects apart from the fine technicalities!

Bouncing back nicely after a couple of weeks of weakness.

Feeling it should get back over 30p again

AGM 1 October so may get a trading update (although didn't last year!)

It's well worth going to the company website and working your way down through the menus. There are pictures of the Kromek machine actually being tested at an airport, and a factsheet for potential buyers.

AIM:KMK - "Increasingly more confident"

Hot on the heels of winning up to $3.3m of home security contracts in late July with the US government, Kromek today said that it had secured two more significant orders. Both are within healthcare and together worth >$1m.
The first for $700k with a new OEM to supply CZT detectors for nuclear medicine applications to be shipped over the next 18 months. Here the devices will generate sharper images in quicker timeframes and at lower radiation levels – thus enabling much improved patient outcomes. The second being a £340k repeat order from an existing BMD customer (Bone Mineral Densitometry) which will be delivered in FY19.
Better still, today’s news also reinforces the ongoing shift from CZT development work to selling commercial products, along with offering future upsell opportunities, bolstering the orderbook and enhancing revenue visibility (ED estimate for FY19 >2/3rds).

In a sense it isnt the main issue; if there is a growing market for these types of products that in itself is a good sign.

I note that Liam Fox is putting his shoulder to the wheel explicitly now. Policy to raise DIT's profile I guess. The department is heavily involved in another high tech pioneering company I follow. Look forward to KMK doing as well as they are.
