Tbh I was quite surprised to hear that the coup didn't dent KOD's rise from the dead. I guess it's no big thing to have a coup in Africa. They pay scant regard to democratic norms, we know. So it's onwards and upwards and as they've already paid the licence application fee - something of a rip-off in my opinion. We will get a mining licence when all palms have been duly greased. Then we're off to the races... and, as we know, Mali will give the Chinese what they want. Chinese money talks these days and it's all over Africa.
