Richard Last, Chairman of Knowledge Technology Solutions, said:

'It should not be underestimated the amount of management time and energy that has needed to be dedicated to dealing with the cessation of the MarketTerminal business and its ultimate sale. As a result it has not been possible to apply sufficient resources (mainly management time) to realising the many opportunities presented by the Arcontech business. This has now been rectified and already we are seeing notable increase in sales prospects and opportunities, some of which we are hopeful will result in orders in the near future.

The general level of uncertainty in the UK financial markets means the precise timing of such orders is even more difficult to predict. We view the future with renewed optimism and believe we have created a stronger platform for growth.'

KTS has a bad reputation because of all the BS from M Walters and the rubbish that was being announced from the previous management.

The current name is tarred with a very dirty brush???

What does that mean bluenose?

Yes it was announced that at the next AGM the name would change to Arcontech plc. It would be really good to see some evidence of new orders. At volatile times like this, people are looking to trade with CFDs and spread bets so there should be queues of people opening up and needing trading platforms. Arcontech's CFD platform is really good and so is the spreadbetting system (but then I would say that) so this silence is making me nervous.

Incidentally to be clear, I am no longer an employee of Arcontech and returned to help WorldSpreads.

Its is different now. This company needs to change its name and fast. Any watchers know that I have been very anti market terminal since the start, given my knowledge of the industry. The current name is tarred with a very dirty brush and it will not pick up until the name is changed. I think I remember they said it was to be renamed, I may be wrong but until then, and maybe a capital consolidation to take it out of this silly share price range, it will be stuck.

The company has changed form over the last year and the benefits of moving from loss-making market terminal operations to profit-making arcontech operations should start to be seen in the next results. At least I hope so!
I have loads of these with a massive loss and can only wait until profits announced and better market conditions apply - and hope they do not go under in the meantime.
Oddly enough even this share is safer than bank shares (Bradford and Bingley anyway).
This has been one of my worst shares ever so far!
Good luck

Why sell now?
Unles desperate for money, which is what MMs prey on ATM.

I've been holding for so long, I need my head examining!
Still, no point exiting now IMHO...........

Has anyone tried to sell these lately and got anything like a sensible price ?
When the midprice was 0.42, I was offered 0.17 to sell.

It's about time we had some useful announcements of orders.

It would be nice to have some news, but hopefully they are getting on with the business and will come out with good news at the finals in december.

Their last comment was on the 28 july 2008 when they stated "The business is developing rapidly with increasing numbers of firms turning to Arcontech in response to recent forced upgrades and price increases from competitors. The additional features and benefits that CityVision offers, at competitive rates, in combination with Chandra's experience and contact base will position us well to capitalise on these opportunities."
I am hopeful of a swift turnaround now marketterminal offloaded.
Good luck all.

Actually it shouldn't be: Arcontech supply software for CFD trading and spread betting. Both of those are as successful in weakening markets as they are in times of growth. The only difference is that some backers sit on their hands at times like this. I would therefore hope that by now Arcontech have a decent order book and are getting on with things.

Based upon the last RNS, KTS has of last week ceased the Market Terminal service. Hurrah.
Now the drain on resources and finances is finished and hopefully the Arcontech businesses can grow and provide a profit over the next year.
Good luck anyone still with a holding.

As far as I can see, the Party Gaming arrangement with City Index is just another whitelabel to go with the 80 or so others that City have. Or have you seen something to suggest otherwise?
