Figures should look really good next year, with the new distribution centre and with normal weather conditions..

Looks like KITW have turned the slow start to the year around. (Because of the rain) and are back Inline. Good stuff.

Its a very fractured market - so they can take business off competitors and they have geographical expansion too. They also buy market share - think most of their purchases are roughly 5-6x earnings. Buy and build business.

Most of this is covered in their presentations if you look through them. Smaller convenience shops may (or may not) be a difficult business but there seem to be more cafe's about than ever.

I was a shareholder here but sold out when I made a decent profit. One thing that has always niggled me is how they keep growing when the hospitality sector (events, restaurants etc) are suffering. Additionally is the ever increasing reach of the supermarkets with their local offerings not killing the corner shop business?

Looking at the numbers and forecasts it looks good value but the above does make me wonder. Anyone with any insights. Thanks.

NB can buy 25,000 shares no problem (Liontrust still offloading?).

Don't think we have had continued Rainfall, apart from today, the weather been decent since May...

And with Euros and Olympic summer, Kitw should do well.. especially over the July and August period...

As Cavendish mentioned, Kitw could still have a upgrade...

If they really are that sensitive to the weather then the continued rainfall doesn't bode well.

Trading is expected to pick up in the second half, specifically throughout July and August which typically benefits from higher footfall.

I must admit I expected a c.20% drop when they put out the disappointing trading update in early May. That didn't happen then, but seems like we've now got that drop, albeit with a 2 month delay.
Nothing much new in today's update, but perhaps the market was hoping them to say trading has picked up a bit as the weather has slightly improved and the Euros kicked off - the fact there are no signs of improvement probably explains today's drop. I'm also a bit sceptical they will meet their FY guidance - trading will certainly need to pick up over the rest of the year. While I quite like their business model, I'm staying well clear of this until there are clear signs trading has improved

Bit disappointed with the drop today - results were already known and they are still confident in meeting FY. I did sell a few a while back whilst retaining a large holding (by my standards). May look at buying those back.

Should be seeing a big uplift in sales now. With less rain, European championships, Olympics etc. Folks will be parting more, drinking more alcohol and soft drinks buying more snacks, ice lollies haribo sweets etc etc

Looks like ice cream sales and frozen sales down because of the wet weather. Hopefully with abit of sun they can make it up over the next several months..
