10/8/2022 21:40 | Maybe AA could offer some KIST paper (after wiping off SQZ).Was seemingly willing to give 50% just t'other day. | officerdigby
10/8/2022 19:07 | Best to get shot of the IOG management team if Kist go for IOG (edit - maybe cherry pick one or two;), it's only the gas price being 10x forecast that has saved them. IOG nearly went under a few years ago due to the LOG fiasco and it was Buffet who saved them and now has a 50% interest in production. LOG still have a large slice of the company and so could be awkward regarding a bid approach although personally I'd be delighted if Kist took IOG over, even for 50p, although I suspect that would not be enough with the share price having been not far off that earlier this year on first gas when gas prices were lower. To be honest I'm surprised that Serica haven't gone for IOG given the cash at their disposal. | bountyhunter
10/8/2022 07:50 | That would work and IOG have a nice management team to keep. If I am right in my quick overview of IOG: Scope for organic growth AT June they were doing 5000 boepd (net) low carbon Market cap at 35p is £223m (fully diluted) Little bit of debt £70m (net) Cost of production not seen but suspect low as capitalised dev costs low Would be very surprised if KISt have not already been talking to IOG. | mariopeter

09/8/2022 16:59 | No hostile bid then for SQZ. Not KIST style to be hostile. Hope the drill works for them anyway. | mariopeter
09/8/2022 13:27 | So we are saying a failed bid on SQZ will not result in an SQZ fall anywhere near the 200 day average that is actually a tiny bit under mariopeter prediction. A lot to ponder. Nail biting stuff. I don't think it will impact KIST as much for sure. | mrscruff
09/8/2022 10:57 | You may be right, but I will be surprised if it goes that low. It was trading at this level and above prior to the windfall tax. With N.Eigg drill underway and about a month to interim results there is news on the horizon. The interims will be the first results since January's 66% uplift in revenue at these record prices, so they will be epic, windfall tax or not. AIMHO | farmscan
09/8/2022 10:49 | What you think Farmscan? | mariopeter
09/8/2022 10:43 | If bid failed SQZ will fall like every other failed bid situation probably to about 3.00/3.20. If bid still alive then perhaps up 90% of bid terms. | mariopeter
09/8/2022 10:14 | What do you think will happen to the SQZ price mario? | farmscan
09/8/2022 10:10 | 5pm today. Not sure what will happen the KIST price but I think I know what will happen the SQZ price of the bid fails. Equally up if the bid looks like a goer. | mariopeter

04/8/2022 08:58 | Don't the Dutch government own 40% of tulipWould they gain more from the investment or the taxation? | mr smc
03/8/2022 23:38 | Watched the news on the BBC late tonite (for what its worth) and they reported that Spain, Italy are looking at imposing windfall taxes on thier energy companies. Wonder when Holland will take a little peek a boo? | ammons
03/8/2022 18:46 | Its amazing. At a time when both companies' SP's should be surging ahead, they aren't, because the investment community cannot decide who's going to make the stupid final over-priced bid for who. | podgyted
03/8/2022 17:01 | EBITDA first 6 mths CC £200m++stg EBITDA month of July 2022 cc £68m stg (SPLIT Dutch 39m and 29m UK) EBITDA daily at 200 Euro on TTF and £3.50 therm cc £3m stg per day (split Dutch 1.9m and 1.1 UK) Not often will you see a Company making EBITDA of £3m stg a day valued at £416m but if you do, fill your boots. KIST stock is supposed to be valued today at 1.3* annual EBITDA on AIM and 1.8 times on the full market. | mariopeter
02/8/2022 15:15 | Thank you. So results and then into the fear of winter. I hope we get a mild one as I am only invested here to hedge my gas bill. | mrscruff |
