KINO will be receptive to a bid approach as it makes life easier than trying to raise new equity to repair the balance sheet. I would think large holders such as Western Selection have now been approached and they will be insiders. Anyway an RNS re the shareprice movement is likely very shortly.

Just thinking about who might want KINO, it could be a good fit with T Clarke, CTO. If I was CTO I'd worry about project work in London drying up over the next few years. KINO's domestic gas servicing for local authorities would be a nice steady business to spread the risk. CTO understands performance bonds and probably has the expertise to sort KINO out. Just a thought.

Something is going on here with that 1m buy @27p this morning following yesterdays 6,077,235 share purchase. The company should release a statement explaining what knowledge they have as to why there has been a 70% increase in the shareprice over the past 24 hours. There should also be an RNS confirming yesterdays 6m sale by MI Discretionary Unit Fund and who purchased them since this represented almost 10% of the shares in issue.

Thought there may have been something overnight, but as you say dyor2, who buys 10% of a company at a 60% premium unless they thought the shares were worth a X of that price?? Offer still below what they paid it seems? DYOR

Nobody buys 10% of a company at a 60% premium to the market price without having a very good reason! Either the buyer is convinced the shares are worth a lot more than that and in a thin market had to pay up to get a 10% holder to sell, or they are about to bid for the company. Either way, it sounds like good news to me!
