Spent quite a bit on operational efficiency initiatives & unifying IT platforms along with reducing shares in issue,in turn has affected there health trend.Should start to feed through to better margins & cash flow overtime!!.

What struck me on the FY was cash balance reduction. If the reason given is valid- increase in stock levels for availability of new ranges, we should see some strong cash generation at H1. My take is KGF is at least worth watching.

If forecasters are to believed 2017/18 was the nadir,Revenues rising from here, 2019 £11.844bn,2020 £12.171bn,EPS 2019 25.4,2020 30.4p,2019 p/e 11.3,2020 p/e 9.47,however 2o17/18 final results were poor imo,margins were reduced to 4.5% after exceptional's ,cash flow was also negative.

I'm wary of reading too much in to this, however it might (if an optimist) suggest trading has not fallen off a cliff. Possible better France performance, perhaps.

Hi Joe, he also bought 100,000 shares late last year, just under £3, from memory. So that's 400K plus within a few months.

Hi Essential,Andy Cosslett purchased £130.600k worth a few days ago,a nice commitment ,be even nicer if the rest of the board showed the same enthusiasm especially FD.Dont know if you're aware share purchase of £40m has now been completed which in total has amounted to £500m of the £600m announced back in 2016.

contrarian joe. I checked Howdens share price and div and compared it to Kingfisher. Howdens all time highs Kingfisher all time lows They plan to open 30 new sores and bring 19 new ranges Howdens You may be right about the kicking Apologise if you are KGF holders . I’ve been in and out of this stock

24th May trading update . We’ll have better idea of how things are then . I’ve been to screw fix and really liked service, price and easy to park locations . I remember Homebase were rubbish and so were Wickes , fortunately they sell different ranges. My kitchen is from Howdens , still going strong, I had it professionally installed. The write up in the Guardian was shocking what’s worse was the comments .

Howden given them a good kicking. Spoke to a few customers which backs that point up Whatsup "regarding their kitchens".After service pretty poor when items missing etc.Quite a few of their stores are far to big for footfall.Makes sense to either move Screwfix onto Tradepoint & sell screwfix properties if owned or save on the leases if rented.

I think I know of the reason why this share may be dropping . Source guardian ‘B&Q support is good for one thing buck passing. Terrible write up on customer relationships. Read the commments Dyor

something is happening here and I get the feeling we’ll be the last to know. 24th is trading update. I wonder if beast from the east will be blamed. Bidding for Homebase stores?? Terrible sales at B&Q and France?? 5 year plan not working as planned?? Take your pick

I was shocked at the FY cash burn. KGF referenced an increase in working capital on stocking new ranges as a reason. if that is the case, you would expect some strong cash generation this year? lets see.

Thank you essentialinvestor. I read the news on retail investor April 30. Not sure that would cause that drop today

32 million shares traded today. Highest ever? . Anyone know what’s happening?. I don’t see the £/$ the cause of this much of a drop.

£/$, that is the problem for this company, they will see import costs rise as the pound weakens, and in a softening economy!

Something upset Kingfisher early this morning. Dipped to 282p (down 14p). There was a good trading update from Howden's this morning. Competitor performing strongly, could that be the reason? Any other thoughts?

Looking at the commentary on cashflow, they reference stocking on the new unified ranges.
