What is happening with the takeover? No sign of a higher bid & no news.

@ALW

No, separate entities. Apax original bidders, set up Kelvin bidco for bidding purposes. BC Partners own Valtech, and are the new bidders. They have created Ken bidco as their potential bidding/purchase vehicle.

It’s two Private equity firms (Apax vs BC) up against each other ultimately.

Slim, briefly scanning the huge amount of RNS's:Apax / BC Partners / Ken Bidco / Valtech are all the same outfit in some complex layer cake of company arrangement unless I am wrong?They have offered 110p / 120p now 130p and removed the final offer limit.So who is the competitor bidder? Is there one?Cheers - ALW

Apax is considering its options and a further announcement will be made when appropriate. Kin and Carta Shareholders are strongly advised to take no action in response to the announcement by Valtech in the meantime.

From RNS today - looks like apax will have another crack

The fact that the share price is above the latest offer of 130p suggests a higher bid may be coming

Or did they start counting the votes? They have suggested they may increase again if another offer comes in

Just bought at 102.75, is this bid really going to happen?

Nah its the opportunity cost. The closer we get to the deal going through the closer it will get to 110.

Suppose it is 6 months to wait. That is a 8% return annualized. Its pretty good... but you can get a 10% dividend somewhere else, or 5% in a bond etc.

Unless the market expects the shareholders to vote against the bid

That is odd if they were rock solid sure price would be nearer 110p but might just be malaise in the markets.

So if I buy at 104.5p and the deal settles in 6 months that's 11% annualised profit. Do they think the deal will fall through?
