17/12/2021 15:40 | hxxps://www.construc HMG are setting the standard for other construction firms and sectors. The question remains what is K's legacy exposure to cladding and fire barriers? | stutes
15/12/2021 15:05 | Any one notice that all the problem children of April 2020, are hitting their lows again? Saga, cine, iag, metro Bank, Costain, cpi just to name a few. Kier will catch up soon IMO. Their equity issue was much later than most but I reckon the share price will be under 80 by March next year. Meanwhile it will be ramped, as usual!!! (With sooo many shares in issue, they will have to work hard). | wallywoo
15/12/2021 08:47 | I wonder if K might be forced to tap the market for new capital if the margin is eroded by cost inflation and increased lending cost? | stutes
14/12/2021 09:20 | Damning article on simply wall st, re kier debt, does say it is cash generative at the present, but can it be maintained, only time will tell | bathboy2
14/12/2021 08:23 | It is so annoying construction shares generally are up , so far, today but for K. It shows to me City are more interested in dividend paying firms? | stutes
14/12/2021 07:23 | Wuhan wally ever decreasing credibility | ontheforks
13/12/2021 12:49 | Lol, Kier's share price is testing a support level for the 6th time in a few months. They have given no trading update for nearly 6 months, after 5 years of losing cash. Having to raise equity 2 times, issuing well over 450 percent more shares in that time, in order to survive. And you think Peter that I am unreasonable in questioning the likely weakness ahead?? | wallywoo
13/12/2021 11:41 | hxxps://www.construc I think Costain and Kier could well be taken over by firms that have stronger management and better financial strength. | stutes
13/12/2021 10:23 | Oh, look our resident troll is back. Remember, the more you feed him the more you'll see of him. | petersw1
13/12/2021 09:12 | Costain are down to 12 month lows today. I reckon the only reason kier are not following them, is their awful policy of keeping balance sheet news as quiet as possible and only releasing when they have to.Either way it is just a matter of time before investors wake up to the fact that Kier are still losing cash (as they have for 5 years).Anyone new to stdy's ramping please go back 3 years and note he has been doing the same thing for a long time, meanwhile no one has made money here. | wallywoo
10/12/2021 15:46 | From Construction Enquirer - our favourite construction firm is winning big again. Kier tops November contracts league Kier has secured the biggest monthly haul of new orders for the second time in three months after getting its finances back on track. | stdyeddy
10/12/2021 15:42 | @Stutes. This is old news from 2 years ago! Look at the date in the article that you have linked | gixxer1
10/12/2021 11:43 | hxxps://www.construc How can directors have generous pay/bonus awards when shareholders have had no dividend for 2yrs + and counting? It looks to me as bad as asking people to follow covid19 rules, but some people can still party or have generous hikes in pay. Im my ppinoon the Board of K played a key part in the financial troubles, so why award salary hikes to the directors? | stutes
10/12/2021 08:33 | hxxps://www.construc hxxps://www.construc Is K protected from increase cost? | stutes
07/12/2021 10:04 | And here's what seems to be early news (hopefully not premature) of another great win for Kier in our mighty metropolis: Kier set for £50m TV Centre deal Kier is being tipped for a £50m scheme to build new affordable housing at the former BBC TV Centre scheme in west London. The job is being developed by Stanhope, Mitsui Fudosan and AIMCo which exchanged contracts with Peabody earlier this year for 142 homes in two new buildings at the site. Peabody will manage the homes once they are built. | stdyeddy
07/12/2021 10:00 | Nice and quiet on here recently. Like a 'normal' advfn board! Meanwhile, our favourite construction firm continues to dig holes, pour concrete and make money.😊 This came out last week but none of our old trolls wanted to discuss it: Department for Education’s £7bn schools and further education building programme ...Across the sweep of the framework Kier did best picking up 14 lots... Another major framework win for Kier -- a retention rather than a brand new win, but an important one and possibly Kier expanded its presence on the framework since it won the most lots. If anyone has the time and interest or inside info and can compare the last iteration with this one, I'd be interested to know (but can't be bothered myself). | stdyeddy
06/12/2021 17:47 | hxxps://www.construc How is such a scheme going to work for the big boys if they have a few bad Government jobs? | stutes
06/12/2021 08:58 | hxxps://www.construc K's H1 figures will show how much inflation has been recovered and if projects have been delayed by clients unwilling to build in such an environment? | stutes
27/11/2021 06:10 | How can a development like countesswells go bump, it is a UK government back scheme, tough questions to ask there, is it that the tier1 contractors are being held to fixed price contracts. SMG have had the bottle to pull the rug, will other tier1 contractors have to do the same | bathboy2
26/11/2021 16:24 | hxxps://www.insider. Looks as if housebuilding could be facing some kind of cop26 pandemic or brexit fallout? Selling the homes division may have been the right time,? | stutes

26/11/2021 12:53 | New South African covid19 variant is reported having 30 mutations twice that of delta variant Hopefully K has protected itself from cost overruns due to delays from pandemic closures? | stutes
26/11/2021 11:33 | Well the rise was nice while it lasted. The world and the markets now wondering if the new Covid variant, found in Africa, is going to take us all back to square one. For the markets, Friday is the wrong day for this sort of news to be prominent but unclear. Whatever happens, and in relation to where we are at in UK and Kier being UK-only based business, probably have upward movement back again soon. I hope! Assuming we all don't die over the weekend! :) | gerhart
26/11/2021 09:04 | I walked past a few offices and the car parks had very few cars parked up, more office lights switched off than on. Today's news of a second covid19 South African variant shows working home could continue for some time. I think, in the current situation, the balance of negotiating power lies with the buyer/leaseholder than owner. It might be a while before K offloads Tempsford? | stutes |
