11/10/2024 08:08 | and to make sure that all of this actually happens (this is from the government's own website): Chief Secretary Darren Jones sets out plan for Britain’s infrastructure to restore investor confidence. New body will help “get a grip” on the delays to infrastructure development. Government also sets out first national infrastructure strategy just days before global investors arrive in the UK for the International Investment Summit. | itisonlymoney
11/10/2024 07:58 | More infrastructure spending! All good news for kier. The leaders of the world’s biggest green energy companies have promised more than £24bn of new private investment across Great Britain ahead of a meeting with the prime minister on Friday. Keir Starmer is expected to meet the green energy bosses on the sidelines of the first Council of Nations and Regions in Edinburgh to discuss the multibillion-pound projects just days before the government’s international investment summit next week. Starmer said the tidal wave of private sector spending was “a huge vote of confidence” in the government’s “relentless focus to drive growth across the UK”, which would create thousands of jobs in the UK’s nations and regions. “Whether you’re in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or England – we are creating the conditions for businesses to thrive, and our international investment summit will be a springboard for every part of the UK to be an engine of innovation and investment,” he said. | itisonlymoney
11/10/2024 07:56 | More holes to be dug and concrete to be poured for the construction sector. Good news for Kier. Ed Miliband unlocks billions to build giant dams across Britain | itisonlymoney
10/10/2024 12:35 | reeves infrastructure spending will probably involve HS2 going to Euston and a replacement for the cancelled northern section of HS2. probably more investment in renewable energy too, flood defences and who knows what else, but they're all markets for kier. | itisonlymoney

09/10/2024 19:09 | Rachel Reeves is planning to change borrowing rules to free up billions of pounds more in spending for big projects in the upcoming Budget. Our favourite construction firm is the biggest winner of government contracts -- looking forward to seeing the budget and infrastructure spending plans. My guess is that it'll be good news for Kier. | stdyeddy

08/10/2024 07:49 | Cashflow is critical in this industry and if one major firm goes under then the possibility of a domino-effect is ever present. The role of the banks and HMG will be critical in limiting any contagion fallout. | stutes

03/10/2024 16:17 | Lol,tinkertrader!! Your very first post of a brand new handle. I love the fear paid rampers have when I show up on a BB. Create a new poster, go back years through 1000s of my posts to discredit. LOL!!! Don't worry chaps, this is a poor investment but it's not a glaring short. I have no interest staying here, just popped up to annoy Stdy for old times sake. Just like ISG though, I have no doubt that Kier will get themselves in trouble again, just not yet, not now. In the meantime happy ramping. Lots of work here for you guys with all the shares in issue and the massive risks in this sector. The complete opposite of an investment that helps you sleep soundly!!! Do you really want an investment that need snake oil salesmen like Stdy and itsonlymoney to promote it?? | wallywoo
03/10/2024 16:02 | Interesting this war of words with Wallwoo. I had a scroll back through the chat history to see who is actually telling the truth. Here's an example of a post from WallyWoo on 24th January 2023. "As usual, I will be proven right, and the share price will fall back. You, on the other hand, will be proven to be a silly share ramper who is trying to cheat investors into buying this rubbish. In other words, same old sh×t that has been going on for 5 years now!!! It really is a very simple scenario now, no debt reduction and the share price will remain static, debt increasing and the share price will crash. Unfortunately, with Kier's dishonest rns statements you always have to read between the lines. Debt is 100%, absolutely, and no way round it, going up!! Despite everything you say to try and cloud that issue. It went up in h1 2022, h2 2022, and will most likely go up this period." On that date, Kier's share price was circa 60p. Wally, I hope you are not really an investor. A little knowledge can be a very dangerous thing. | tinkertraderxx
03/10/2024 14:42 | and kier's own update on the A417 project: | itisonlymoney |
