03/1/2021 00:10 | ESS selected as Kibo's preferred electricity storage technology partner.Agreement opens new avenues for Kibo in terms of renewable co-generation with its coal power projects.ESS' iron flow battery offers a multi-decade operating lifetime, as well as multi-cycle capabilities with no loss of performance, and is one of the safest batteries available, using only salt, iron and water.Initial focus on Kibo's three African projects with the possibility of expanding into new opportunities in the future. Louis Coetzee, CEO of Kibo Energy, commented: "The inclusion of renewable energy into power station designs allows for higher availability figures from a technical point of view and provides better fundability options. With this in mind and given that storage capacity is an essential component of realising renewable energy in base-load applications, we are delighted to have access to ESS's technology. This opens new avenues for Kibo in terms of renewable co-generation with our coal power projects, an idea which is currently being developed for first application in the Benga Power Plant Project (BPPP), and ultimately provides us with a significant advantage over competitors. The addition of ESS to our partner team is a massive opportunity to establish the notion of co-located renewable and clean-burning fossil fuel base-load energy towards a single combined objective: sensible, sustainable, economic growth. ESS has a good understanding of the developing world; we are delighted to be working with its team and look forward to building a mutually beneficial relationship." | georgeo1
02/1/2021 23:31 | https://constructionreviewonline.com/news/zimbabwe/mozambique-to-sell-50-mw-of-power-to-zimbabwe/Besides Zimbabwe have a tonne of coal to supply Mozambique for electricity power. EDM is already a partner of KiBO. | georgeo1
30/12/2020 22:42 | We may see the TR1 tomorrow | pennstreet
30/12/2020 22:19 | would also like to mention our investment in Katoro Gold PLC (AIM: KAT/www.katorogold.com) where Kibo's holding currently stands at 29.63%. Katoro is pursuing battery metal (Tanzania) and gold development (South Africa) opportunities and is currently very active in the field on both projects. These exploration/mine development projects, by their nature carry risk but also considerable upside should they prove successful. We are very pleased with Katoro's results and progress to date on both projects and look forward to development. From 22nd October 2020 rns 29.3%September rns states 30%It's not quite accurate. | georgeo1
30/12/2020 22:00 | Big sale.....interesting if it is Spreadex selling....maybe the tide is about to turn....AIMHO....DYOR | barts
30/12/2020 21:49 | It must have been worked through for some time. Alternatively, placed with willing buyer.
As is 3% level, would warrant tr1, 1 or another way. | yaki
30/12/2020 20:04 | How did the 65m sell go through without affecting the price? Is it a broker to broker transfer? | pennstreet
30/12/2020 19:45 | Penn,
still holding, even bought a few more, just 2mln.
Obviously hugely disappointed by Kibo management failure to deliver on their own deadlines, for not the first time. | yaki
30/12/2020 19:03 | Yaki - you still holding?What's the 65m sell about? | pennstreet
30/12/2020 18:26 | "Reserve power is the fastest growing energy sector in the UK as a result of rising demand and predicted energy deficit. In light of this rapid growth and demand, we believe it is an opportune and highly strategic time to list our UK clean natural gas energy assets as a standalone company on the LSE." said Kibo Chief Executive Louis Coetzee. The Ireland-based company will CONTINUE TO PROFIT FROM THE SUBSIDIARY by maintaining a majority share, in order to fulfil its primary goal of "addressing the acute power deficits in Sub-Saharan Africa" and to capitalise on the growing reserve power sector in the UK. | georgeo1
30/12/2020 18:26 | Must have been worked on for weeks! | pennstreet
30/12/2020 16:04 | Probably what has been driving it down. | knowing
30/12/2020 13:50 | 65M sell just.. | zen12
30/12/2020 11:30 | Many occasions. | cj41
30/12/2020 11:26 | And will continue to reduce. KIBO will probably end up with closer to 10% as there will be plenty more placings. KIBO gave Haneti and the gold away and is currently doing exactly the same with MED. it will almost certainly then do the same with Moz as soon as it looks like it's got any potential. KIBO is likely to have tiny shares in all its 100% owned (as LC repeated on so may occasionally) projects. | cj41
30/12/2020 11:20 | Actually it is almost 25%Following the issue of the Financing Shares and Admission, Kibo Energy plc will be interested in, in aggregate, 96,138,738 Ordinary Shares representing approximately 25.52% of the Company's then issued share capital. | cj41
30/12/2020 11:18 | U.K. after recent placings it's dropped even lower. I can't remember exact fig in recent KAT RNS but it's about 27% | cj41
30/12/2020 11:07 | Try the kibo RNS dated 23/07/20:
“ Greater visibility on the valuation of Kibo's strategic portfolio of assets, which also includes a c.29.7% interest in Katoro Gold PLC;” | uknighted
30/12/2020 11:00 | Cj41..you find me where kibo s share in Katora is ....25%. As I have showed where my facts are from. | georgeo1
30/12/2020 10:42 | George thinks KIBO has a 55% (it's closer to 25%) interest in KAT. Need I say more. His posts are just regurgitation of old RNSs which promised stuff that never happened. | cj41
30/12/2020 10:30 | g1 the Borderseley project in Bordesley was supposed to be operational Q4 2019! | uknighted
30/12/2020 10:27 | Delayed by covid 19 restrictions | georgeo1
30/12/2020 10:17 | I thought the UK power projects were "shovel ready" and would be operational in 2020....what happened? Now they are saying the next steps are due diligence followed by site acquisition.
All this Company has ever delivered is a school hut in the African bush, oh and eroded 99% of shareholder value.

30/12/2020 10:05 | No support and it's all quiet so wake up and start posting. | georgeo1
