21/10/2019 19:32 | Ps I'm in Montreal next month and will catch up with a lot of friends who still work there so should hopefully get a better view on how they are doing. | 1670127
21/10/2019 19:31 | It's much more likely to be caused by lower growth rates and the new console cycle which will likely see developers holding off developing to focus on the new platforms. What I will be interested in next results is the level of debt. With smaller acquisitions and limited investment the small amount of debt they had built up should disappear, if it doesn't then there may be something strange going on. | 1670127
21/10/2019 16:48 | Being in Dublin has absolutely no effect on KWS business and Brexit. None at all . | aoiaoi
21/10/2019 11:35 | Scooter and Green Richard..I m wandering about these shorts. There s alaways reasons for their positions. I think KWS might be exposed to theNorthern Ireland Brexit shananagans. The border is not just about Bottles of Baileys to NI and Bush Mills whiskey going north from Eire to NI but computer progs and software crossing borders. This is under EU regs too. However I dont know enough about how much is developed and exported from Dublin to the UK and the other way around. And the machinations of the present debate. Can anyone here advise ?..cheers.. | washbear
15/10/2019 13:31 | So that would account for the drop yesterday presumably? Considering the size of the increase in the shorts they have held up quite well. Or is that not how all this alchemy works? | scooper72
15/10/2019 11:37 | Shorts increased to 5.04% from 4.30% from 11th October | greenrichard
15/10/2019 08:34 | Good points. You can see why once companies have got the money they need it can be to their advantage just to go private again particularly if they believe they have the momentum they need to keep growing organically. With KWS I bought in early when I had just started to learn about investing when the price was about 250p. I have to confess despite getting in early I have not always bought and sold at the right time. Considering the industry it services and the quality of the management, it is probably one that is best to stay in and leave the shares as a hold for 5 years as the games market grows exponentially. | scooper72

14/10/2019 19:51 | Well I didn't exactly get the best price today. As it started to go back up I bought at 1195p just to watch it slip down again later in the afternoon. ? | scooper72
14/10/2019 18:32 | Oh the UK won't roll out 5G until Brexit is resolved which could be ...well...who knows. However, this is an international company and I feel sure the rest of the world will just crack on. | steeplejack
14/10/2019 16:35 | I read this article with a little caution. Firstly 5G mobile devices, for the next little while at least, will be crazy expensive so out of the reach of most game players. The networks are patchy at best and it will take 5-10 years to get full UK coverage. Outside of a small number, Developers are not going to optimise games for 5G until there are enough people on the networks and they are available globally. I definitely think the extra bandwidth will provide long term, 5 year+, opportunities but short term will not be a game changer. | 1670127
14/10/2019 16:25 | Motley Fool gave this share a decent shout at the weekend - seemed to believe they would benefit from 5G rollout so thought I'd have a look and see what the general chat was about. No reference to the article in this thread, which was a surprise so thought I'd add. | kron76
14/10/2019 15:58 | The whole market is down today although not by as much admittedly. One article I saw listed the total aquistions this year which add up to just over 7 million euros. Much lower than previous years so perhaps this is lowering ecpecations on the growth rate thes year. The other option may be the continued build up of short positions. Your guess is as good as mine! | 1670127
14/10/2019 14:32 | It's a concern that the price drops on news of a simple restructuring of debt and a reaffirmation of a desire to make acquisitions.Interes | steeplejack
14/10/2019 12:29 | The fact that the price has dropped by so much on such low volume - is that a concern? Or is this just looking like it might become range bound for the time being? | scooper72
11/10/2019 18:18 | Shorts have not closed. As of yesterday, short position has increased to 4.30%. And with today's rise, I expect a bit more. We will see on Tuesday/Wednesday if there has been a further increase in short position. | lopans
11/10/2019 15:12 | and shorts closing | robow
11/10/2019 15:06 | Cheers - great news. HSBC are pretty weighty influencers - no wonder the price is moving up nicely. | rivaldo
09/10/2019 20:05 | HSBC initiates coverage with a BUY recommendation and a tp of 1700p. | aimingupward2

27/9/2019 13:57 | AIM was the right place to list initially but I agree if they could get get a NASDAQ listing at this point it would be significantly beneficial. | 1670127
27/9/2019 13:05 | This company's plan is to develop a global presence and to capitalise on a strong market position(in a fragmented market) by leveraging its full compliment of products. Its a simple formula. As I've mentioned before, the company should consider a NASDAQ listing.AIM is treated with very real scepticism by foreign investors. In fact, many US colleges have asked their students to write critiques of AIM.(Presumably, with a view to educating the academics about how a market should NOT be run, drawing particular attention to pitiful regulation by the FCA.)KWS won't rely on AIM for long,it simply can't support the group's global ambitions. | steeplejack
27/9/2019 12:47 | My estimated value is based on this being recognised as a techonolgy stock based on NASDAQ values. As you say if the growth story is as per the presentation this could be a low value. Conversely, if this is viewed as a 'Services stock's not technology then the 12 times number could be high. Most of the employees are minimum wage/minimum wage plus a couple of $ so not really high tech excluding design and engineering services. I think the latter are high value and seem to be growing so my estimates could be low if these keep progressing. In my view this stock is no longer crazy valued (as it was at 24 pounds a share) and it's more down to individuals belief in the continuing growth story. | 1670127
26/9/2019 17:03 | Well £8 is consistent with your thinking that the stock should be trading on a multiple of around 12.Having listened to the presentation,I think such a rating would grossly undervalue the shares but who knows. This is AIM listed. | steeplejack
26/9/2019 14:50 | Many thanks | scooper72 |
