23/7/2018 16:10 | scooper, the turn I traded was last Friday morning at historical resistance approx 1820. Next historical resistance is 1860 then 1900 I expected a greater retrace from 1820 than we got and was too greedy. | bamboo2
23/7/2018 15:12 | Bamboo2. Is this looking like the turn you were expecting, or is this more like top of the range on your chart? | scooper72
23/7/2018 10:56 | This is a particularly interesting and impressive acquisition this morning. For quite a small outlay of $1.5m it brings the a whole new aspect to servicing the games industry (and perhaps others in due course) which could be of significant value both to KWS and to it’s client customers. As Andrew Day says, "a rare asset" which can be used to "reduce player attrition. maximise conversion, increase average spend and materially impact the lifetime value of players, all while increasing the appeal of the game for individual users". | aimingupward2
23/7/2018 09:46 | It could close around £18.80 today , maybe £19 if the market awakes to its potential to becoming a giant cash generator. | christh
23/7/2018 08:35 | Thanks Christh, I personally think £25 in 5 months is ambitious, but would be happy to be proved wrong! | snew
23/7/2018 08:12 | snew, I am going by what the brokers say. Numis had its target price to £21.80, Berenberg £20 etc. By adding more aquisitions you increase your assets and raise your revenue. Either grow organically or by Aquisition or both. This what KWS is doing both organicallly and aquiring new companies. I expect the price to rise to £18.80-£ | christh
23/7/2018 08:00 | I agree with your post completely. I was just interested to know more about Christh' share price prediction.it's a very forward thinking acquisition and the big games publishers (probably) won't have these capabilities in house, which hopefully leads to outsourcing to KWS. It is a small step though, by the sounds of it, and KWS will look to grow their capabilities in this area going forward. | snew
23/7/2018 07:52 | Er...I've just explained why in the post :o)) | rivaldo
23/7/2018 07:31 | Very exciting acquisition - small, but intriguingly it's in the area of AI and machine learning, marking KWS' entry into this field. Importantly, these solutions "are now ready for commercial roll out", and "can leverage the worldwide reach of Keywords and its extensive client relationships. As part of the agreement, Silicon will collaborate with Keywords in introducing the technology to Japanese game developers and publishers, and it has a non-exclusive right to resell the YD solution into the non-games markets (such a healthcare), in exchange for a share of the associated revenues". It wouldn't surprise me if the market got somewhat excited about this given the interest in the areas of AI and machine learning: | rivaldo
23/7/2018 07:27 | It looks a good acquisition in an interesting area, but I don't think acquisitions move the share price tbh. | mad foetus
23/7/2018 07:19 | This is a top acquisition Now the market will have to re_rate this. £21...£2 | christh
21/7/2018 12:48 | Kind of you to respond, bamboo, and I look forward to your chart and your interpretation of it. My own view is that with a steady flow of acquisitions at modest prices (you never know when the next one is going to come along), a growing market, increasing outsourcing by games developers/manufactu There was a trading statement on 27th July last year, so it seems very likely that there will be one next week. Hopefully that will result in a positive response. | aimingupward2
21/7/2018 12:31 | Out of interest B.B. do you just chart a number of stocks and move between them ? I trade forex in the day and just leave the shares to do what they do as I don't find the time to manage them like you do - perhaps I need to make more time ! | panic investor
21/7/2018 11:38 | aimingup, I trade KWS. Always have done. I don't note every trade on every share, but where I have mentioned buying, I like to balance that otherwise it just seems that all we ever do is buy! The sell is based on historical resistance combined with a potential turn [x2] dated 20/7/18. Will add a chart to this post later if pos. | bamboo2
21/7/2018 09:42 | So?? Unless you explain why and to what extent, that is not worth posting. | aimingupward2
20/7/2018 20:56 | Took profit today. :-) | bamboo2
20/7/2018 18:41 | KWS is the subject of the EveningStandard business pages' 'Small-cap spotlight' this evening mentioning the new acquisition and even using some of its image space to put a nice picture of a game created by Snowedin. They also mention about the increased credit facility that KWS now has.... | scooper72
20/7/2018 08:49 | Also I would have though engineering and coding are relatively high margin work. Something Andrew Day said in the annual report meeting that stood out for me: when he asked rhetorically about the issue of other big heavy weight out-sourcers coming in to compete in this market he said that the combination of creative design skills and technology skills (coding engineering) made KWS's market a difficult one for new entrants to crack. | scooper72
20/7/2018 07:35 | Nice in-fill acquisition, but I liked this in particular showing how KWS can grow a new sector presence from nothing so quickly: "Having grown the Engineering service line from nothing in May 2017, we now employ over 300 software engineers in multiple regions, and I'm delighted that Jean-Sylvain, Tim, Evan and their highly talented and creative team are joining the Group as we continue to grow." | rivaldo
20/7/2018 07:08 | Had a feeling we'd get an RNS today | panic investor
18/7/2018 17:58 | Much better volume today too, compared to recent days. | scooper72
18/7/2018 16:15 | Looking like a strong close... | rivaldo
17/7/2018 15:51 | Slowly getting back to 1750p. Currently 8-1 on Level 2 which is good. But there is a sell order on Level 2 for just over 10,000 shares at 1750p. Does that mean it is likely to get stuck there again for a while and drift back a bit towards 1734-1700? | scooper72 |
