10/4/2017 08:15 | haven't got 50 years, but a leg up to 350usd would be very delicious in the coming 6months :) | wrtmf
10/4/2017 08:08 | With only 50 years of supply left it's not hard to work out where tantalum prices are going! Clarke reported in a presentation in December, tantalum had risen from $50 per lb to just under $70 per lb in December. And there have been suggestions from what ought to be well-informed sources that Kennedy has a generous margin of $30 to $40 per lb. 2204.623 lbs per metric ton......that's an impressive margin | lorn4
10/4/2017 08:00 | 123.94 usd/kg tantalite ore end of jan. see the 5 yr chart, looks due for a leg up/breakout! [within 2 months?? err anytime now cheers] | wrtmf
10/4/2017 07:52 | Lithium sells for about $9,100.00 per MT According to the US Geological Survey, with the current global production of 37,000 tons a year, mankind has enough reserves for 365 years—if current demand remains the same. But experts predict that by 2040 the world will need 800,000 tons of lithium for just battery production alone! Tantalum sells for about $128,000.00 per MT More importantly, it’s been estimated that there are only less than 50 years of supply left based on current extraction rates from mines. This has emphasized the need for greater recycling. The price of the tantalite is very much dependent on the demand as well. The price of tantalite ore rose from about $75 per kilo in 2010 to more than $270 per kilo on 2011 and 2012. But the price has dropped since then. However, some experts point to expected growth in the electronics, aerospace, and power industry to boost the price back up. | lorn4
10/4/2017 07:50 | hope we can ramp up to 15tonnes per month concentrate by end of june. [there ought be a considerable stock pile of ore to process by now] | wrtmf
09/4/2017 22:41 | Yes they will be keen to get the output up to 15MT per month as I expect the discussions regarding the offtake terms must be very advanced now and we'll possibly hear about the estimated 8MT that the Chinese will want especially now that the US are currently sampling the product. From the company presentation of 1st Feb 2017 Current Offtake Discussions Renegotiation of offtake terms underway with competitive tension amongst major players China Large users of Tantalum in China • Duoluoshan • Fuxiang • Ningxia Potential Offtake Terms: • Estimated demand of c. 8MT/Month • Pricing discussions underway • CIF destination ports United States Largest manufacture of Tantalum Capacitors and global user of Tantalum • VP of Tantalum Vertical Integration scheduled to visit the TVM mid February 2017 Potential Offtake Terms: • Volumes to be discussed • Pricing still in negotiations but will need to be market driven • CIF destination ports Rest of World Trader in the Tantalum Market Potential Offtake Terms: • Estimated demand of c. 5 MT/Month • Pricing discussions underway • CIF destination ports | grsl

06/4/2017 09:19 | has seller finally cleared do you think? | qs99
04/4/2017 22:08 | From the information we have at hand I think the new CEO is doing a damn fine job of expanding and updating the plant at Aftan to increase the output. With his previous experience of Director of Mining and Global Tantalum Supply Chain at Kemet he knows better than anyone where this is heading. I'm looking forward to hearing the outcome of the advanced discussions towards securing new and positive offtake terms of it's product. I don't think the wait will be long. Tantalum $128,000.00 per MT Lithium $9,100.00 per MT now that can wait for now! | lorn4
04/4/2017 21:46 | In the below Michael Walters link Basically Kennedy owns a mine and mining rights to 1175 highly promising acres in the Tantalite Valley, Namibia, complete with a working mine which has been revived from an abandoned earlier effort. Already the company has established that there is a massive quantity of tantalite on site, so large that no effort is planned at this stage to establish a proper resource measurement. What they know they have in just part of the site would last at least 20 years. Clarke reported in a presentation in December, tantalum had risen from $50 per lb to just under $70 per lb in December. And there have been suggestions from what ought to be well-informed sources that Kennedy has a generous margin of $30 to $40 per lb. | lorn4

04/4/2017 21:37 | This is definitely oversold perhaps most don't realise how rare and expensive tantalum is. Tantalum capacitor prices can range from pennies to £75 ea. Tantalum is used in many industries, and it is deemed a critical component in many items. But the main and most important function of the metal is in the manufacture of electrolytic capacitors for the electronics industry. These types of capacitors make use of the metal’s tendency to form a protective oxide surface layer. This results in high capacitance in a very small volume, which give the product size and weight benefits. It’s why it is ideal for mobile phones, personal computers, DVD players, video game systems, and automotive electronics. | lorn4
04/4/2017 10:45 | rsi is 10! the last time it was this low, share price was about 5.3p approx dec20th ...on that basis alone i have to agree with astral's concise assessment, lol | wrtmf
04/4/2017 09:56 | we've fallen that far, we're at approx 50% retrace between the highs of 15.x and the 'base' at 5.x | wrtmf
04/4/2017 09:34 | downside? between 8p and placing price? longer shift pattern starts at the end of next week we're in q2 hopefully from w/c apr10 piecemeal lithium news arrives building towards resource estimate, via metallurgical work [in south africa] and a plan for selling lithium ore very short term. 'opening up the lepidolite body' does positive cash generation at yr end, give a clue to a lithium processing circuit [purchase and installation] in q3+4 ??? waiting on.... 'Furthermore, Aftan has progressed with its assessment of the potential value of the lepidolite lithium deposit, with both the geological and metallurgical test studies advancing as expected. The completion of an upgrade to the processing plant in the form of an additional floatation circuit, enabling the processing of the lithium bearing ores, is scheduled for Q1 2017. This feature will enable the removal of mica to create a lithium-rich concentrate, which would provide a potential entrance into the lithium market for Aftan.' we know they were busy with other issues q1 | wrtmf
03/4/2017 13:58 | Looking like a decent entry point coming up | astralvision
03/4/2017 11:37 | As usual it is the 'I bought the shares yesterday, and want to be rich today' brigade selling. I feel we do have a larger seller though in the background but this is just presenting a good top up time. The fundamentals have not changed and we have been told that a jorc will be in Q2, although we are experiencing delays in other areas. This is still a very good share and my gut tells me we will probably start to see a recovery on the share price in the new tax year. Patience is still the key here. They never go up in straight lines. DYOR! | cloud9surfer |
