Berkeley Scott has 254 employees on Linkedin -

I wonder whether that number is correct or some of it repetitive -

It looks to me with a cap of £1.87mill it may have a profitable year =

Gipps -

Certainly last year they lost £2.5mill in 2016 but if not but all was down to goodwill impairment -

Otherwise they would have been profitable -

They have a leader in Berkeley Scott and tiny loss in the first half but profitable at the operating level -

T/O of £10.3million in the first half and better than the previous year which could be a profitable 2017 -

All it needs now is a "Blockchain in Recruitment" -

Most loan notes bought out and the next due 2023 eases all pressure here -

They may make a small profit and have a pretty good business in Berkeley Scott -

Turnover should exceed £20mill and loan notes left to 2023 with most bought out -

Mr Bell as noted in this thread and in loads more elsewhere is currently under investigation for serious HMRC irregularities.

Given it may result in heavy sentencing and confiscation of assets for Mr Bell Kellan is very much at risk from the outcome of those investigations.
By shifting the loans to a company rather than personal loans has to be good for the company and assuming the loans cannot be called in then extending them out to 2022 is welcome as well.

There is a reduction in the overall interest payable annually the RNS states but the 532,000 loan note being issue at 70% of par is like a ZDP so overall the payaback going to be around 12% and means 2022 will be an expensive year.

Also the other 2 large loans have increased in rate to 5% from 4% but seem to have slightly different terms (one is ‘fixed’ not sure what that means for the other) , they have been extended to 2022 as well rather than 2017.

The chairman states Its reduced the ‘ongoing’; financing costs but not by much given the above I guess. Also no trading update and none of this being repaid from trading cash flow.

So the company a little less reliant on Mr Bell short term but all these secured new loans mean very little room for the company to raise new finance from anyone else than Mr Bell or related parties.

Kellan needs to grow organically therefore and nothing suggesting it is doing that at the moment easily so not sure where any value lies for a PI until next set of results or trading update.

Anyone know when results coming and news on KLN main shareholder Mr Bell? The director disclosure this month led me to find that Mr Bell managed to lose £ 1.2 million in Human Capital Resources as per that company (Company number 05840816) statement of affairs on 12 Nov 2015 at Companies House. A little strange no other creditors lost money so perhaps not quite as bad as it might appear.

No bad, not stellar results today. Operating efficiencies (if implemented correctly) should begin to take hold in the coming months. Lets see what full year results bring.

Price and valuation seems to have got ahead of itself based on those results
which are fair and much improved but the shareprice has risen 200% in the period
I'd be surprised if the price rose on those results.

Nice to see this moving. Given how the rest of the recruitment sector has done, I'd be suprised/disappointed if these guys haven't followed suit.
