He still could've given more detail on the 15 - 20 mill that they needed and the names. Will be interesting to know when exactly the plan was submitted to the central bank.

Perhaps I'm missing something... but it sounds to me as if Kefi has done their stuff, all in the hands of the EG agencies to approve it.....

If they dont, is it Harry's fault?

Again kicking the can down the road further stuff ! if anyone asking questions , I got a big one: "what figure He put for historical expenditure ? $60m or $13,8m, why the change" ??? IMHO, fund raising either via convertible load or way below 1.5p for £2-5m in definitely on the card if HAA can get it ! GLA

Topicel,

You keep harping on about the retender yet in the recent rns Harry stated that Corica are already further along than Ausdrill were so your point is incorrect.

It is as expected. The re-tendering will have caused this, and we are seeing the results of Harry being incapable of managing such a large multi-enterprise project with delay after delay.

He issued this and will now be able to bat everything away today with the politician's response "let's wait for the results of the enquiry" changing to "let's see how quickly the EG can turn things around".

Covid is not the issue. I'd say it is too many cooks and we are unable to keep a Ramsay-style kitchen.

I'm reminded of Johnny Logan - 'What's Another Year?' (it should have been month/quarter) at every one of these webinars. Does anyone really hang on anything he says in them any more?

Let's see what Harry has to say for himself later today at 2pm during the webinar...hopefully he will add some more information and colour to this RNS....looks like he failed (once again) to deliver to another promised timescale (end June) & so we are now end July (or later)...but it does seem the ball is in the EG court and is going ahead...patience required to close the 320m TKGM funding & get it going...SP will restate on this I think imho DYOR

It was inevitable that it would have to be reviewed and cleared by the central bank yet again. As you say, taxloss, it should be rubber stamp time As Covid restrictions have half-seized the UK, we can't really criticise the Ethiopians if their processes are slowed by it.

"presented its Project finance syndicate"
This is what I consider to be significant.

The Tulu Kapi Gold Project (the "Project" or "Tulu Kapi") remains on track with previous guidance and KEFI, through its subsidiary Tulu Kapi Gold Mines Share Company ("TKGM"), has presented its Project finance syndicate and submitted its Project finance plan to the Ethiopian central bank ("National Bank of Ethiopia", or "NBE") for permission that it may proceed as outlined. This follows a long, thorough and rigorous due diligence process by the Senior Lenders.

Whilst the NBE conducts its review, the other outstanding administrative details are being progressed with the various Ethiopian Government agencies including, the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum ("MOMP"), Ministry of Finance, Ethiopian Roads Authority and Ethiopian Electricity Power Corporation. These are normal compliance procedures to enable KEFI/TKGM and its syndicate of financiers and contractors to proceed to financial closing, which includes, inter alia, execution of detailed documentation, subscription of the asset-level equity funds and triggering full development, with debt funds to be disbursed later this year in compliance with the Senior Lenders specified conditions.

Yes I wouldn't read too much into the 10% more shares approval thing, that's pretty standard for most AIM stocks.
