Scars - that comment about 8 times the market cap is a very nice touch. I haven't seen that done before but it really spells things out in black and white for investors

Using the proposed bank loan infrastructure financing, at last Friday's gold price of US$1,540/oz, KEFI estimates that the net cash flow over the life of the open pit will be US$443 million after all debt and other obligations. At this current gold price of US$1,540/oz, the Definitive Feasibility Study or DFS-based NPV of the open pit (US$236 million) added to that of the PEA-based NPV of the underground mine (US$87 million), totals to the aggregate Project NPV of US$323 million. On this basis and after taking into account that KEFI has already invested nearly all of its expected contribution to the Project equity, the NPV of KEFI's 45% beneficial interest is US$164 million (approximately GBP125 million), about eight times the current GBP16 million market capitalisation of the Company based on today's proposed expanded issued capital.

"I am delighted to confirm the signed subscriptions of ANS Mining into the Project company. Whilst we have been working closely with ANS Mining for some time and developed an excellent relationship, I am now pleased to be able to welcome them formally as partners.

"Following first funds flow this month we will commence phase one of the community resettlement, trigger debt implementation and detail the final procurement and contractual arrangements with the principal Project contractors.

See much more than 10p here. SOLG spiked over 1000% in two days and is now sitting from 0.005 - 23p and recently was 45p

Absolutely right... this is a longer term hold for the reasons articulated.
Well it’s D Day this end already.
Let’s sincerely hope that the BOD and ANS fully grasp just how negative any further delay at this already stretched stage would be.
There needs to be a clear and concise message that “this mine is getting built from today” with the promised equity monies arriving promptly to kick this process off...
It’s been a long, long wait for all involved, which is hopefully now at an end.
I have faith in this board to get this moving. They now need to act.

Quite a few on Twitter and LSE being conservative, thinking 2 to 3p is good. Well chaps, remember no CLNs and basically debt free, so its a free move up North. Not long to wait. Ideally we want a volume driven move up North. Remember i always talk about the old man moving up the stairs, goes up too fast then has to rest.

It has been very tough years. I remember a friend if mine on LSE called Farmer Palmer , was heavy invested in kefi and was planning to buy more land. Few others also had a lot invested in ISA. What is happening currently should have happened 3 to 4 years ago, but political problems in Ethiopia meant ling delay. Dont forget if Saudi drill results get better and better , it could make a few of us here.

Join the club , at our age its health the main worry for some. Fully believe kefi will make it to its true value. Short term MAYBE 2p to 3p ( maybe next week) but once institutional investors start buying you are looking at at leadt 10p. Look at the market cap , even at 10p we be valued less then 150million?

JLW,

Obviously, you must act in accordance with your disposition, and personal circumstances, but I see KEFI as a long term hold. The management have, I believe, expressed the wish to take KEFI to mid cap status, and I find it difficult to imagine that the Ethiopian Government, having expressed internationally their intentions with regard to the development of KEFT and mining in general, would be happy to see it remain as a small tiddler, in a large pond.

That is why I visualise a long term holding for the vast majority of my KEFI shares.

thanks guys, I think i would sell half at that point, reduce my exposure, as I have a totally ridiculous amount of my sipp in kefi (and considering I'm 68 march and my only income is my state pension).

Also wouldnt mind buying some back cheaper later if there's the opportunity, i dont suppose it will hit the roof in a straight line

JLW,

Given the potential of KEFI, and a seemingly escalating Gold price, I consider ideedee's forecast to be unduly pessimistic. If things pan out as anticipated, I doubt it will be more than 6 months, perhaps even sooner, before you reach your break even level. The initial share price, after funding, is likely to reflect the JORC valuation, and this seems to be increasing on an almost daily basis.

Hi j.l. Williams I think maybe you could reach it in a year or year and a half gold going up so could be possible don't forget you only lose when you sell most of the time anyway but maybe not for the long-term holders

Anyone fancy a guess at how long it would take to get to 8.5p? just for fun.... I agree that we could be very pleasantly surprised in the medium term, once the dominoes start falling

Reckon tomarrow is when we start the 10% to 20% daily increases. I am.hoping its 2p before RNS then we get a 100% increase. 4p easy.

I personally think we all have been given the green light to buy or average down. Harry couldnt have made it more clear. Meeting at 6pm . I think this has all the ingredients to go up North very fast. Look what happened at solg 1p to 42p back then. 10k invested made you 402k. Life changing for some it was. . And here we are thinking 2 to 3p. I think this will suprise a lot once ANS cough up 9.5million, which i reckon will be very soon after the meeting. 3 to 4 days to clear by BACS. We could be 6 to 10p plus easily. Warrants expiry in March at 2p.

God, I hope you are right...at current prices this is a license to print money; I believe the NAV effectively doubles for every 20% increase in gold price, but none of it means anything until ANS stump up some cash...

In order to take advantage of the projected increase in the price of Gold, I suspect that all parties concerned with KEFI will want to get the mine up and running asap. I cannot imagine that the EG and ANS, will indulge in further procrastination, and I believe that funding will be declared imminently - hopefully giving sufficient time for production to start in 2021.

Just my opinion, but we will soon see if it proves to be right.
