I have just done a live dummy quote with HL.

To buy 1,000 shares in Kavango Resources [LON:KAV], HL is quoting a live price of 4.1p and to sell 4p. However, the advertised price is 4p to sell and 4.3p to Buy +5.06%. The spread appears tighter now a 4th market maker has come on per a twitter and advfn post.

One is cognisant that the advertised price may not be the live price so one has to check live dummy price.

The normal mkt size [NMS] for KAV is 30,000. Please note that the KAV shares in issue is 160.96m and that a lot of shares are not in public hands.

Good morning,

I would love to buy more but the spread here is ridiculous. Anyway to narrow it?

Looks like the 4th marker is helping to tighten the spread.

Closed Friday at 3.7 - 4.5
Now 3.8 - 4.1

So down a bit on the day but the bid is actually up a bit. Record volume day too is no surprise with the tighter spread.

Am I seeing things or do we have an additional Market Maker this morning. I could have sworn we have only had 3 in the past and we now have 4.

jlondon - good post. It has been generally quiet on this board for months (I was pretty much talking to myself until Christmas) but that seems to be slowly changing as more are becoming aware of the unfolding story here.

Observation:
On Twitter, only a few people are posting on the #kav thread and more so, participation. It is not easy on Twitter to find #kav unless one knows about Kavango Resources and cited as #kav on Twitter. The "whole" [sizeable] trader community + investors are not on the Twitter #kav feed.

Any evidence? The 2nd Ditau hole RNS was issued on 16 May 2019. One notes the volume was not exceptionally high. Due to the relatively low count of shares in issue and less so, in free float, the market makers quote reflects this. So, always best to test live quote as opposed to advertised quotes.

A few Canadian mining investors are cognisant of the stock and they have set up a forum on CEO.CA [Canada] on Kavango Resources. These appear to be Canadian investors and they are naturally more cognisant of the mining sector since they are mining focused.

More to the point, there has been a dearth of posting on the London South East Kavango Resources site where there are more retail investors including traders. Evidence? One will note that KAV on the London South East does NOT appear on the Top Chat icon. When the share price rose after the Mike Moles [NED & Geo, KAV] interview with Proactive Investors [Hole 2, Ditau], the London South East site did NOT show that KAV was among the top risers. There were other top risers. If not on the TOP RISERS, it would NOT have attracted retail investors or traders. Consquently, it would NOT be Twitter*s top chat either.

In the case of Solgold and Greatland Gold, there was more initial research and therefore a greater understanding of the RNS, geology etc. Both SOLG & GGP went on to make significant discoveries and evidenced by the entry of 2 majors [BHP & Newcrest in the case of Solg] & Newcrest JV with Greatland Gold after only 9 holes drilled at Havieron. Solgold*s mkt cap was around £8m @ 1.5/1.8p when they started on Cascabel even before obtaining the environmental permits. Greatland Gold*s share price was around 1.08p at the time of visual geological observation of Hole 5 and prior to assay results. Historically, SOLG & GGP appeared on Top Chat/Top Risers on the London South East site.

So, the evidence does appear to show that KAV is NOT yet on the retail radar. Evidence? Look at the share chat no at the top of the page. Currently, it shows NO chat since Fri, 17 May 2019 and NO active discussion on the RNS etc. Even on Fri, there were the odd posts totally 9 of which many were links to the RNS etc.

This time, unlike Solgold & Greatland Gold, the London South East is NOT aware of KAV to any great extent & evidenced by VOLUME.

In conclusion, the share price has risen with modest buying due to the relatively low share issue count. Paul Johnson has increased his initial holding to 4% per his recent Twitter. Another 1% holder appears to be Canadian?

Comment: All factual and from the KAV RNS. It appears investors are now more cognisant given the Proactive Investors UK interviews with Mike Moles [NED & Geologist] & Michael Foster [CEO] +SP Angel comments on the 1st and 2nd Ditau hole recently.

Yes the #KAV activity has recently gone through the roof on social media including Twitter but I can't see any obvious ramping. I think that it is just a case of finally the penny starting to drop with regards to the excellent potential @ #KAV

Bought some today..terrible spread though. Need some serious volume I guess to clear the fed up bulls.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Stale bulls? KAV only came to market last August on the main market not AIM and just reached an all time high on Friday. There are no stale bulls to talk about mostly only LTHs who are natural resource fans. And the spread is nothing like it appears and should only improve and get tighter with increased volumes as we've been seeing as the KAV story get out there.

As Mike Moles said in an interview back at the end of last year when asked about investor interest.

"How have you found investor interest in the project?"
"I think a lot of investors are quite excited about the story to be honest. It is a pot of gold type story. It has the attraction of being a huge deposit. So a lot of people who like to take a chance on something are very keen on this project. They are excited about it. And I think if we get a sniff of what we suspect might be there then I think the big investors, the big institutions will then start to take notice. Well they are already taking notice actually but I think they are holding fire until we find something a little bit more substantial. And then I expect things will really start to take off."

Skiboy, thanks again for your tireless research. Some nice movement this week although I fear the heard will be starting to circle given the 4 weeks +/- to assay results. Let's just hope the 30% spread keeps the rampers and day traders at bay. GLA

Some good discussion here

@GoldenRetriever Someone saying "We'll have to wait and see, maybe the assays are not as good as we hoped" ... I might buy just based on that! I thought conservative managements were long gone.
It's really a mess for me to buy: 200CAD of fees and they are not in touch with market makers :(

@smallcap KAV 16 May 2019 RNS [2nd hole Ditau, KSZ, Boswana]: "9,231km2 of ground, 15 prospecting licences---450 KM LONG KSZ MAGNETIC ANOMALY in the SOUTH WEST of the country, exploring for Cu-Ni-PGE. Up to 200m of overburden." An example.

@smallcap Mike Moles interview with Proactive Investors UK today, Fri 17 May 2019. If I heard correctly, Mr Moles said that the 2nd hole reached

@smallcap contd 557m and the gabbro was reached at 478m. Moles mentioned that PRIOR to reaching the gabbro, it was also mineralized. The gabbro was just as good ie mineralisation. If from the 16 May 2019 KAV RNS, the overburden is up to 200m, does this not mean that the mineraliszed zone is up to 357metres? In the 1st hole, the cobalt reading was UP TO 0.9% COBALT with an averaged weighted 0.2% cobalt. In the 2nd hole, it was 1.5% copper sulphide via XRF analysis. Generally, 0.2% cobalt is said to be economic whilst 0.9% is high grade. As for copper, 1% with size qualifies for Tier 1 grade? Open for correction.

@LucTenHave From annual report about hole 1: The alteration in the Karoo sediments appears to be in excess of 300m thick, whilst the alteration penetrates into the gabbro for at least another 75m. Iron and copper sulphide mineralisation is present throughout the altered Karoo sediments and the gabbro. Indicative cobalt mineralisation has been identified in both holes (portable XRF analyses).

@LucTenHave Let me repeat: Iron and copper sulphide mineralisation is present THROUGHOUT the altered Karoo sediments (Note Luc:300m) and the gabbro (Note Luc: 75m). ....correct me if im wrong

@LucTenHave Grade is unknown of course but i read that there is 375m of mineralization

@smallcap Good -- 375m of mineralisation. BHP recently drilled 4 holes at Oak Dam [near their Olympic Dam mine]. The expert per AFR report said the distance of 400m showed continuity. GGP*s Havieron was 350m. In the case of KAV, it is 1.8m between Hole 1 & 2. share price Angel said that Hole 1 was remarkable and Hole 2 even more remarkable to hit mineralisation from recall. To me, a lot of $ was saved and a brave one cos Sprott*s report on GGP*s Havieron said that one or two holes with 0 is not uncommon - so as to manage expectations. This is something that London investors have not cottoned on to yet or not understood the full implications. Open for correction.

@smallcap KAV RNS said that it is similar to Norilsk. However, Mike Moles previous interview said it may be more like Olympic DAm. Paul Johnson mentioned Sirius Resources of Novo fame. Pete Panda on May 13, 2019 tweeted the VOISEY BAY article: "throw back to 1995 Voisey Bay.
