This is my interpretation of the facts based on information previously released by KAV.
Each hole we drill provides more and more geology and geophysics which brings us closer to a strike.
If KAV can go to a major with enough info which proves their model works and convince them KAV will find something then that major will provide the means to survey and drill this huge licence and i believe it will be found.
KAV do not need to strike it big with just three holes.
KAV have Ditau and copper play also.
I have a lot of money invested and I will be staying invested because the payoff could be huge and I don’t want to risk missing it.
If I win I win if I lose I lose.

Exactly mick. However, I think skiboy has a good relationship with foster and moles so it wouldn't surprise me if he’s right in that current hole isn’t the final one of the current campaign, but like you I’m sticking to the facts in the releases

I have complained to company about the poor RNS which has confused not informed its investors.
I have requested that the company release a statement to clarify the current situation.
I fail to see what the point of releasing this RNS was I guess geology is the companies strong point not PR
Still all to play for just how and when.

At least we can count ourselves lucky that the RNS of today does not say " After drilling the 1st hole we encountered no deposit. " that would have been a disaster for the share price

We would be at 1p now.

At least the CEO has worded this the correct way and we will see the results when all 3 holes have been drilled and completed.

But i deduce from this that the 1st hole was negative?

If one hole takes 4 weeks, then i guess we will not see any news until early New Year unless like he said if the strike a massive deposit, they will release this to the market ASAP.

They are drilling three holes, but the targets may have changed from the initial plan with what they have learnt so far.

Suggested 3 hole minimum drill campaign of the KSZ with the much more important bit being the approximate 1,000m - so it could well be that there will end up being something like 4 to 6 holes drilled some of which will obviously be fairly shallow.

Skiboy the current funds are being used for this 3 drill / 1000m campaign. They can obviously drill more holes in the future but there are no more than the current 3 planned as it stands. There may be some funds left over for percussion drilling at Ditau prior to progressing a potential JV. These are the cold hard facts and I'd love to be proven wrong but to date any counter argument isn't based on facts released by the company.

seems they are still drilling soft stuff as 53m too shallow for main hard rock and switch to diamond drilling so still hope. I'd buy more if had resource.

Kavango Resources (KAV LN) 2.2p, Mkt Cap £3.5m – Drilling intersects high-level gabbroic intrusive at 53m

Kavango report that drilling has intersected a high-level gabbroic intrusive from 53m at the start of its 1,000m drill campaign.

The drill program is designed to test for the presence of Karoo age gabbroic sills and to see if these structures contain metal sulphide mineralisation.

The idea is to find structures similar to the Bushveld igneous complex and to identify higher-grade metalliferous targets within them.

The target being drilled is 7km from the town of Hukuntsi in the Kgalagadi Desert, Botswana.

The town is 114km off the main highway and is about 500km from Gaborone.

Conclusion: Kavango is proving up it’s theory to discover structures which are potentially similar to the Bushveld igneous complex.

With identification of a first gabbroic sill under 53m of sand cover demonstrating the skill of the geological team the challenge is to now find high-grade metalliferous structures within this.

Drilling targets in the Karoo is a bit like a blind man using a length of wet spaghetti to target a coin on the floor. While the team might not know where the money is at least we have some idea of the distance to the floor.

OK thanks skiboy. I was under the impression that it was 3 holes only but have read back the releases and see that it a a 1,000m campaign and that "the first 3 target have been identified". I suspect others also think that this is 3 shots and done. Could do with an interview of MM on what they have found so far....

Why they are allowed to mention Norilsk in an RNS is beyond me, Norilsk has economic mineralisation for starters.
