LAHTOJOKI EXPLORATION UPDATE

Exploration Commences on Area adjacent to the Company’s Lahtojoki Diamond Deposit
Programme Designed to Recover Further Kimberlite Boulders
Glacial Ice Direction Will Also Be Delineated
Karelian Diamond Resources plc (“Karelian Diamonds”) (AIM: KDR), the diamond exploration Company focused on Finland, is pleased to announce that it has commenced a fieldwork exploration programme on its Lahtojoki South Exploration Permit, adjacent to its Lahtojoki diamond deposit in the Kaavi region of Finland. The Land Survey of Finland has recently granted the Company rights of way for the Lahtojoki diamond deposit and adjacent exploration area (announced 17 August 2020).

Kimberlite boulders have previously been discovered in the Lahtojoki South area. Analysis showed that the boulders are a type of Kimberlite unlikely to be derived from the Lahtojoki kimberlite (announced 12 January 2017).

It is therefore likely that the boulders originated from a yet to be discovered kimberlite body, up ice from the initial discovery site of the boulders.

The current programme is designed to recover further kimberlite boulders and to delineate the glacial direction, with a view to identifying the source of the kimberlite boulders.

Professor Richard Conroy, Chairman, Karelian Diamond Resources plc commented:

We look forward to receiving the results of the exploration programme as it proceeds.”

Aside from the additional fund raise, what’s really changed?

Ok they’ve got access, but they’ve still got to spend an awful lot of time to do the necessary exploration work.

Given that the board are trousering what, £100-200k a year in director salaries, fees, expenses etc,

What can they do, even with £400k.?

They had £240k from bjonberg, half of which is a repayable loan, unless the share price rises to a point that convinces bjonberg to convert into share @ 10p, plus this £400k. Ta I think has put in what £100k?, and they had maybe £150k in the bank from last year?

So about what, £850k circa? £120k has to be paid back or converted, so that’s £730k, less I think say around £200k for the board, leaves around £500k.

Are my sums right here?

Given I’ve understood in the past, to really get the areas developed, it’s likely to cost upward of £2 million, more fund raises are going to have to be on the way.....

I bet Conroy is hoping that the share price will soar above 10p so TA more likely to convert his £120k loan into 10p share, this avoiding need to pay it back....

If the new 20% investor is 1 person/entity it has the effect of significantly reducing the Professors control. Anderson, Bjornberg, new investor + the 3 Amigo's could easily vote him off at the next AGM .

He is either very confident or could lose control .

Yes in sept 2019, about half of what was owed, mainly to make sure he had enough votes to defeat the egm motion because he couldn't rely on other shareholders

I see the Finnish government is investing in mining companies.
Or a n other .
More to this then meets the eye.
