"During the year, Karelian said it completed a preliminary economic assessment on the Lahtojoki diamond deposit and also tested the large Eastern lobe of the deposit, with positive results." ACTUALLY NO!!!!! The PEA RNS was issued 1st August 2017 and the Microdiamond results 13th August 2018 so ABSOLUTELY nothing new this year.

Diamond exploration in Finland Malmikaivos Oy, a small Finnish copper mining company, initiated diamond exploration in the 1980's after discovering a train of kimberlite glacial boulders. Malmikaivos Oy established a joint venture with the Australian company Ashton Mining Ltd. in 1986 and in 1994 Malmikaivos Oy became fully owned by Ashton. Ashton’s countrywide regional sampling program has identified several separate and distinct areas in Finland from which kimberlite indicator minerals are sourced. Ashton has discovered 24 kimberlites and related rocks in Finland and 16 of these are now known to be diamond bearing. The main kimberlite clusters are located in Kaavi and close to the city of Kuopio in eastern Finland. Mini-bulk samples have been taken from five of the diamond bearing pipes. At least two of the more closely studied pipes contain substantial quantities of clear and colorless diamonds. A 23 tonne sample from a pipe of approximately two hectares in surface area yielded some 26 carats of +0.8 mm diamonds per 100 tonnes, most of which were of good quality. Another pipe, slightly over one hectare in size, contained 13 to 26 carats per hundred tonnes, based on a 9.4 tonne sample. Not a question of baring girls best friend ,but when???

(Alliance News) - Diamond miner Karelian Diamonds PLC on Friday reported its annual loss narrowed and that it sees economic potential at its Lahtojoki asset. For the financial year ended May 31, the miner's pretax loss narrowed to EUR370,654 from EUR439,568 last year. Karelian did not generate any revenue in the period, as it continues its diamond exploration and development programme in the Karelian Craton in eastern Finland. During the year, Karelian said it completed a preliminary economic assessment on the Lahtojoki diamond deposit and also tested the large Eastern lobe of the deposit, with positive results. The deposit is within the Karelian Craton. The company hopes to develop the Lahtojoki diamond deposit as Europe's first diamond mine, outside Russia. Karelian saw micro-diamond results from, previously untested, larger Eastern Lobe of the Lahtojoki diamond deposit giving it "increased confidence for economics of potential mine". In addition, the company said it has made progress made in relation to regulatory matters required for getting a mining permitting at Lahtojoki and technical data suggests presence of pink diamonds at the site. "We have built on last year's successful programmes and, despite the distractions and cost of the recent EGMs, we have had continued exploration success and most importantly, the company has made further progress towards the development of a diamond mine at Lahtojoki," said Chair Richard Conroy. Elsewhere, Karelian said it has appointed Howard Bird as a non-executive director. Shares in Karelian Diamond Resources closed 1.3% lower at 1.90 pence on Friday in London.

This should be valued at a discount to cash in the bank so 0.4 looks about right for this .The 1P dreaded placing should get it sub 0.5!

Think in light of latest report and lack of news, it’s still way over valued right now. Unless somehow there has been some positive news at Finland? L.
