Anderson / Martello had the casting vote and made his decision - he must have known the price would tumble. Too late now, we can only hope he made his decision based on sound knowledge that us mushrooms are not privy to, rather than a misguided loyalty to the Prof... p.s. LG I like your use of the word 'reigns' :)

I think I’d have to agree. The Finnish asset on paper seems to be valued at around £10 mill, but I’m not sure how solid that is. They don’t have the money to develop it, to prove it up, the last two financial institutions dumped their stakes, and the bod only survived because of martello’s support. But given that investment must be down by about half now, how much if any might Martello want to put in? And how much voting power would the prof have to give away in another placing? Martello clearly voted for the existing board in these egm’s, butvwhat if he had chosen to vote the other way? And what if he chose to vote the opposite way if there is ever another similar egm in the future? Whether Karelian like it or not, the only real way to improve its fortunes is for the incumbent board to resign and hand over the reigns to someone else.... Still, the prof did manage to secure his position... maybe he’ll pull a rabbit out of the hat.... L

Yep it would seem very appropriate to value kdr as a cash shell considering nothing will ever happen with its assets .Recently raised 150K had nothing left up to the placings so £150k v £800K market cap.... uh oh sub 1P here we come.Run for the Hills !

Seems that sway. Even with the additional Martello cash, I suspect the current mkt cap is still higher than the cash they may have available... A lot of other companies on aim with good cash positions are trading at hefty discounts to their cash assets... makes you wonder if KDR is going to head that way too? Could see the mkt cap (and sp) as much as halving here, especially when you consider who is still at the helm... L.

Audited annual accounts due in the next few weeks, so let's look out for: salaries, directors' fees, legal costs... (oh and not forgetting actual exploration expenditure)

Even at such a good price Karelian Diamonds cost Richard Thomas a lot of money.

Same here shocked at the price he got too.Now there is an overhang and the price is likely to drift so folk need to exercise caution . Nothing absolutely nothing will happen here folk should look to cgnr for developments.

If he did and if he does know more thans in the public domain he's acting in concert with the BoD. This could all have been avoided if all shareholders felt the bod were actually moving this forward

Good point ladybird1 my monies on Martello took them if they did then i think they might know something along the lines of a possible JV for Lathojoki and CGNR the JV prof has recently been talking about at his interview. Hoops could be right and the prof has something here.

Well, Bonny. Whoever sold, it will be interesting to see who bought. I can't imagine a mm took it simply as trading stock.

Why did they fight so hard to keep it.Brendon M was in a deep conversation over lunch with some chap well over a hour and Mr Bird flew in as on a world trip. Financed by himself I believe to be fair. As you know I am in Spain so only what I have been told.?
