Looks a neat solution by the Prof, diplomatically done by using a 30% premium on the current price. Makes him unassailable by the challengers. Equally, costs him nothing assuming the Company ultimately fails, as he wouldn't get his loan repaid either if no assets.

Wonder what the challengers will/can(?) do about their holding now. Nothing, I guess.

Funny how the prof can't bare to revile good news for all shareholders.
Merely exchanging loans for shares or private investors to stump up cash.
Says it all really!!

Someone didnt like the rns 250k dumped straight after .Conroy holding 22% now the rebels can not possibly win without increasing their holdings to counter Conroys extra 5% acquired today.
Fortunately there is a seller may be time to take him out .

I think it’s actually a very good sign and here’s why I think this;

1. 2nd EGM request is now far more likely to be called more quickly as opposed to being delayed by KDR.
2. Puts the incumbent board much closer to the concert party limit, which means they are more limited in how much more they can buy/issue to themselves without breaching it.
3. Supports the current share price since the placing is done at a premium.
4. Gives the new board and supporters to purchase more shares without hitting the concert party limits themselves, something I gather the prof tried to assert about the new board (and failed).
Prof is unlikely to sell share since it would be losing money, and losing voting power, and make it cheaper for the “rebels” to buy more at cheaper prices.
5. I think it is a sign/act of desperation on the part of the prof.
6. Remaining debt can be capitalised at the prevailing price rather than at a discount
7. Kdr balance sheet is looking healthier since it now has less debt on it.

Happy to hear contrary thoughts, but I think it’s actually a really good thing....

Thunder Lightning Oh Very Frightening RBonnier here risen from the grave with my Dreaded Skeletons of Death ready to go into battle with the Prof for the Chair.
Now one would hope my shares will be able to vote this time and one wonders how the Profs getting out of this one .
My moneys on a big RNS at some point soon could be theyve found the source of the Green Diamonds share price rockets to 10p making it very expensive for the rebels to increase their stakes and then a big private placing like last time from the same source say at 6P to secure power.

Karelian Diamonds – it’s beer and popcorn time again as requisitioners return for round 2

By Nigel Somerville, the Deputy Sheriff of AIM | Monday 2 September 2019

Disclosure: I have no positions in any stocks mentioned, and no plans to initiate any positions within the next 72 hours. I wrote this article myself, and it expresses my own opinions. I am not receiving compensation for it (other than from ShareProphets). I have no business relationship with any company whose stock is mentioned in this article.

I’ve made no secret that I view AIM-listed Karelian Diamonds (KDR) as a lifestyle company, as per its big brother (and under largely the same management), AIM-listed Conroy Gold and Natural Resources (CGNR). Both have achieved very little, both have balance sheets in a total mess and shareholders in both have endured massive shareholder value destruction over the years. In July a group of shareholders forced a sack-the-board EGM but as per CGNR last year, the vote went against them. Now they are back for round two.

I thought that too unless the mms are so short and don't want to raise the share price to stop the herd buying in .
Think someone's sold or they have access to stock most likely theory.

Getting on for 1% of the Company's shares bought today. No price movement. I wonder who's got a large sell order being worked through?

vexatious !!

If the company delivered credible news the whole thing would never had happened .
They know the shareholders are unhappy and still do nothing!!!...…..

RE: Rns outToday 12:33

Did you expect anything less ,The only reason the share price had stabilized was because of last EGM.

I’m betting theyll delay due to it being undated, and also because they’ll try and argue it’s a repeat of the previous egm.

I’m guessing the egm requisitioners will have thought that through, and done their legal due diligence to ensure that the egm has to be called now it’s been requested.

All buys this morning so far

Only by a fraction....

There’s been more stock bought than sold since the egm though...

I don’t think that the story is concluded yet...
