Rio have classified Riihivaara as a "high priority ore body". Rio have said it is likely to be diamoniferous. During last year 355 garnet and sample analysis was carried out by Rio in their lab at their own cost of €350,000-400,000. KDR had no serious expenditure, just a nominal amount. This Rio arrangement very good for both parties. Rio are keen to push Riihivaara on. They are interested in the huge scale mine if KDR make the discovery ( I would suggest the have), which may take between €200m-400m to develop. Under the terms of their agreement, Rio would put up the entire capital costs, which would see KDR retain 49%.Wonder what the next Riihivaara rns will say!!!

We know Rio Tinto previously spent £350,000 on kdr samples at their Melbourne labs. I believe this kindness has continued since. After all they have classified Riihivaara as High Priority. Might become clearer soon

KS.....The twins were not full of woe, maybe they have far to go.....Perhaps the twins troubled relative might surprise soon too with a curve ball and bring that game to a close.

KDR says it considers the discovery of a diamond in a till sample a quantum step forward for the company!Question is what did the follow up work discover? A jackpot?

Shambaby, you make a good point about all other exploration being expedited in a jv, should the Riihivaara news be good. Sorry I missed that post. We are down today, but we are just still stuck in that 0.45 - 0.55 range. I believe this range will be blown out of the water soon.

Is there still a seller here? My guess anyone selling at the moment will regret it very soon. Just a guess!

Hi KSThey have been keeping a lot under wraps I think. On the rare diamond find, it will be interesting when they break their silence on what lies beneath! The follow up work has taken some time, but this was a bigger deal than a lot of people realized. I expect by now, RTZ have spread their interest within kdr and it's not just R. Is R world class? Why else are Rio so keen on it?. KS you called it all from the start. Regards

Mr K, the police may come in threes, but twice thou has mention'd a brace of RNS. Let's hope you are on the ball, if not on the roof!

Hi Goldeneye,

I'm also more than interested to see what comes from Havakkasuo.
All seems to have been kept under wraps on that one, especially after releasing decent results in 2014 particularly with the G9,G10 and orange Mantle garnets found there.
High time we heard now about the extension to the known kimberlite body already present there.
Those results were a fine array of indicator minerals, and an extension would be more than a useful addition to an already impressive asset build.

With truly excellent results from Riihivaara as well, RNSs in tandem could really get this stock moving......but, will they do it ?

I think they should now...
