At such a discount to embedded value, even with a rights issue or similar, am taking a punt and entering.

Justs recent cfo who stood down last month has today been appointed cfo at provident financial so perhaps not as alarming as might have seemed when he went.

More early door weakness. Trend last few sessions has been early selling and stronger afternoon buying. Suggests we have a US buyer. Be interesting to see if it plays out the same today.

Disappointing given most of our gains back. fwiw some brokers suggesting we might still get proposals out before year end and that its just implementation that might have been kicked down the road. Not sure I buy into that but maybe the smell of that will hold things back.

Think now through £1 that is a big old buy signal IMO.... DYOR etc, lets hope it heralds that bid! Embedded value is materially over £2 so if it doesn’t have to fund raise it looks GV imo.... gla

i actually do rate the lansdowne team who are seriously short here. however, it is always nice to see the pros get burnt when they are so confident they are right. they added quite heavily all the way down - kind of glad i am getting back near my in price!

There we go. Through 100p. Wouldn't mind if we were on the end of some bid chatter but I think its more likely bear squeezing and buyers sat on sidelines piling in. Don't want to miss out it seems.
