25/10/2018 12:35 | We await Just's RNS on this - any implications on passed dividend would be good to know for example? | scrapheap
25/10/2018 12:28 | so Shorts over 0.5% is 1.98% Lansdowne Partners LLp increased recently, so they may want to unwind that which would be a bit of a squeeze....DYOR | qs99
25/10/2018 12:20 | And market thinks so IMO as well....through £1 shortly IMO DYOR | qs99
25/10/2018 12:19 | I suspect that it will take time for the PRA now to come out with final proposals. | jane deer
25/10/2018 12:19 | That makes sense. | beagler
25/10/2018 12:19 | This delay is a clear positive for ERM providers as at the least it rules out the situation that the PRA thinks that current ERMs are an imminent catastrophein the making, which needs to be stamped out as soon as possible. | jane deer
25/10/2018 12:18 | Good post HE....I agree, as a short, would you not want to unwind your position for a year | qs99
25/10/2018 12:15 | Obviously must have been some pretty hefty fightback from interested parties. PRA probably taken aback and decided to give it a lot more thought. I known the actuaries were heavily pushing for this to be delayed and also a much longer implementation period. Argument being they wrote this business under guidelines put forward by PRA and that they can't suddenly say it was a mistake by them and that they only have 3 years to correct it. Not sure how far relief rally will take us as there will still be uncertainty around proposals for the next year. Bears likely to back off I would have thought given no near term trigger now. | horndean eagle
25/10/2018 12:07 | The original imnplementation date was supposed to be 31 Dec 18. Today's annoucement merely says that implementation will "not be before 31 Dec 19" | beagler
25/10/2018 12:07 | to be fair some brokers were of the view that this was oversold and a fund raise would not be required....if this helps that sentiment then actually shorts will be closing and squeezing higher so I would beg to differ....let's see...a move through £1 would be strong... | qs99
25/10/2018 12:05 | Shorts might attack this in the later pm session otherwise its a strong move north | cantrememberthis2
25/10/2018 12:00 | see previous posts. IMO market thinks consultation is back tracking on the original dooms day scenario so IMO that means some think a rights issue/raise is less likely, so DYOR but that is my take on it. If that does all pan out, then IMO no reason this should not be back nearer £1.50-£1 | qs99
25/10/2018 11:56 | well Mr Market IMO seems to like the news....will this head back to the £1.50 level then? If people don't think a rights issue is likelY? DYOR | qs99
25/10/2018 11:52 | suspended again | treer
25/10/2018 11:41 | boom, £1 on the cards then? DYOR | qs99
25/10/2018 11:38 | back trading, gapped 3% | treer
25/10/2018 11:37 | maybe movement was all one way | treer
25/10/2018 11:34 | SPx have just suspended trading on the shares | treer
25/10/2018 11:30 | so does this mean they are going to implement the harsher rules or is that still in consultation? | qs99
25/10/2018 11:00 | Implementation was never going to be December 2018. Seems like the PRA is now aware of the consequences of their actions. | beagler |
