YopfYou say take up managements time ? Sorry what is their role again ? Sitting on sun beds? It's their job to grow the business. Their time is to do that, so don't suggest they are doing something shouldn't. If they don't grow, they become stale and then that's the end. Do you know how much money Amazon use to grow their business? Profit Amazon ?With JE you either like the business or you don't. They are not a mature stock yet for dividends. So buy shares and trade or don't. The company itself is doing well. It's spent money on acquisitions, money well spent. It's spending money on other things too. Again all part of their strategy to grow. If you become complacent your stuffed. They're not.

I watched (never bought or sold) ASOS after its mega results. It rose over 6% but dropped like a stone on profit taking. So too did Boohoo.

Both the above had stellar results but saw big sell-offs after.

JE has just told the market that profits will be the lower end of expectations and the price is up nearly 7%>

What trader/investor is not going to cash in on those profit after such uncertainty?

I'll look at getting in but wait for the overbought situation turn to oversold.

Agree Crypto but investment eats into profit margin and takes up management time.

Not saying this isn't a good 2-3 year investment but I feel the market anticipated a much higher profit and as I mentioned, where's the justification for a 7% rise?

You have to invest to grow.

Certainly can't see justification of a near 7% rise

Not good news in the short/medium term

"the Board now anticipates full year revenues to be towards the top end of the GBP740 to GBP770 million range and underlying EBITDA to be towards the lower end of the GBP165 to GBP185 million range, primarily reflecting investments in our dynamic LatAm markets in addition to our delivery initiatives."

Shorts have a good chance to get out now and limit their damage, sterling is going to rise and rise fast, this stock will rocket past £7 then. You have been warned!

That's why I say, dont fight the trend. Trade it up or down. This will move way past £7.50 before we know it as the shorts close.

I'm pretty certain someone will buy them one day. Makes sense. Uber may well buy them. Add their delivery units on it and it's done.

Just Eat have taken over the mid tier restaurant market, which is much harder to acquire than chains. All Just Eat need to do is collect the top 10 or so chains and it's game over for Deliveroo and Uber Eats. Shorts doomed to failure.
