06/9/2016 19:32 | Oh yes the buyer has to be aware thats for sure. | rathair
06/9/2016 19:29 | He appears not to have paid attention to what had gone before , I was out at 58 for a loss and rather annoyed to see it rise again so I could have done better but would I have sold then ? Not sure , this is a shambles , be interesting to see opening tomorrow . | holts
06/9/2016 19:29 | The RNS is reality. ST's words are his opinion/ assessment. | eeza
06/9/2016 19:23 | I understand the valuation etc , but I dont get how ST could have predicted the outcome so badly he must surely have known there was a high risk of the valuations not coming up to expectations. He did the opposite. | rathair
06/9/2016 19:16 | Rathair You need to read, digest & understand the RNS. | eeza
06/9/2016 19:14 | Thats a 26p difference which is a bit ott. | rathair
06/9/2016 19:12 | ST said he believed the cash per share to be ~78p. However, as stated by those before, the NAV is now stated by the BOD to be 58p (before said 32p Div). Hence the drop in share price XD the Div what the NAV will be is anyone's guess. | eeza
06/9/2016 19:07 | Yes I know that 32p will be knocked off the share price on ex divi day. But if NAV is 58p why was ST stating it to be closer to 84p he couldnt be that far out surely ? | rathair
06/9/2016 18:54 | Your not wrong, its another ST balls up - I expect he will have to eat another wedge of humble pie by burying a one liner in his weekly update with a couple of words that glosses over it. LOL | my retirement fund
06/9/2016 18:48 | Rathair, When we reach the ex-div date the share price will fall a further 32p, unless I am missing something? | glynnef
06/9/2016 18:46 | I don't understand rathair: "announces its results for the six months ended 30 June 2016....Net asset value ("NAV") per share of US$0.7783 / 58 pence" The NAV is 58p before the dividend is paid out. The NAV is 58p at of the end of June. The share is not XD When the share is XD it will drop by 32p ish The drop today was the announcement of the huge drop in NAV of 19p | wolstencroft
06/9/2016 18:40 | ST had a nav of 84p so he was out by 6p But its my opinion that he implied the NAV could be much higher so was completely wrong and misleading? | rathair
06/9/2016 17:47 | Yes, the BOD have resolved to pay a 32p div at a date to yet be determined, and conveyed to the plebs at their pleasure, probably at 1615hrs on a day to be decided. | eeza
06/9/2016 17:36 | NAV as at 30/6/16 = 58p Proposed dividend (return of capital) = 32p So the remaining parts post payment of the dividend are currently valued at 58 - 32 = 26p. Is that correct? I cannot see any reference to an actual payment date for the proposed 32p dividend (which is in effect a return of capital), only a reference to the dividend being payable to shareholders on the Register on 16 September 2016? | speedsgh
06/9/2016 17:31 | "The Board appreciate that investors wish run-off to be effective and efficient and your Board will seek to achieve this." In an ideal world, yes, but not if assets have to be sold off on cheap to achieve a quick sale. | speedsgh
06/9/2016 17:24 | ST has been recommending a few shares recently trading at below NAV where assets are being sold off and cash returned to shareholders. I think this goes to show that you cannot automatically assume that the book value of assets will convert into cash and that there may need to be a few downward adjustments on the way. I guess that's why the share was trading below NAV in the first place. | kpwf
06/9/2016 17:09 | So it's worth at least 32p as that is the divi. So rest co now valued at just 15p - trying to rationalise what this means reference to the revised NAV now. Suspect a lot of stops got hit so price smashed before close but some people were buying towards the close so maybe we will get some bounce from here. Guess co not that worried about long term investor relationship as co being wound down | davr0s
06/9/2016 16:59 | It will be interesting to see how St explains this away, he was so positive on the stock. I should have bought BUR instead! Oh Well it saves CGT! | ayl30
06/9/2016 16:48 | That's a pretty disgusting time to put out an RNS like that. | eeza
06/9/2016 16:40 | Juridica Investments Ltd on Tuesday said its loss narrowed in the half to the end of June, while its net asset value declined due to the payment... | nw99
06/9/2016 16:31 | Well that spoil the what was a good day till 4pm. So what's this worth now ?! | davr0s
06/9/2016 16:26 | Glad I cashed out last week for currency reasons (sterling appreciation vs USD). Not as good at timing as others who did so at nominal 77p NAV. The question is where will people sell and where might they buy. I'd probably buy at something below 50p, but I'm not sure if I was a holder that I would sell at that level. So the spread could be a killer if nothing else. | hpcg
06/9/2016 16:24 | Lol !!!!! But NAV only 58p. | eeza
06/9/2016 16:22 | 32p!!!! Nice.... | guernseymoney
06/9/2016 16:20 | They had it at 84p or 88p from memory ? | rathair |
