having had a quick look, this came to the market WAY over priced, still today it is worth £10m with £3m quid in the bank & an annual income of about £1.5m, profits maybe about £200K.......

In a market which is seriously competitive imo....

wouldnt value this much over £5m right now..

all imho.

ppowerscourt (in answer to your question, imvho) note they say to power more than one thing, because of the size it won't (currently) fit into any of them...

it's wether the market for portable (low output) external power units actually exists that I question!! we are (for the time being anyway) talking about something alot bigger than a ni-cad or lithium battery here - PYF sounds interesting, although I have 2 concerns..

hydrocarbon fuel cells are heavy and produce water as a by product of the powering process, so how does that tally with the recharging of a portable unit such as a laptop, do you also carry the recharging unit with you or is specifically to charge up when you goto somewhere with no electric supply (rare these days).. more often than not, in my experience, when somewhere is that remote (and quite probably hard up) people use petrol generators / car batteries.

there was another fuel cell producer I was looking into (high output cells for boats -where the noise of a generator would be annoying) on the LSE in March '05, sorry forgot name - that looked great as the output was higher and also (as PYF hydrocarbon ones) portable and quiet, just the thing on your boat at the weekend (yeah right, i can dream).....
was going to buy in, then thought I'll ring them and find out the unit cost - needless to say I didn't invest, could have bought a small boat instead with the cash they wanted.. it's far too early / there's too much speculation involved for me until proven otherwise, I'll stick with my safehaven AIM oil and tech stocks!!

(all just imvho)
be lucky.

It's always good to have different views on a subject. I am more than thankful to have read yours! Caution and cold facts are much needed in good investing.

Off-Topic:

Found another recent AIM IPO share that has to do with fuel cell system/market ---PYF of California. PFY has developed a hydrocarbon-based membrane for use in portable fuel cells to power lap-tops, 3G mobiles and other portable electronic devices. These all suffer from the very limited battery life available using lithium ion batteries. PolyFuel fuel cells are expected to be able to deliver virtually limitless run-time by 2007/08.

phil2003, the above sounds great, doesn't it? My basic question is: is the iPod batteries a unit encasing a fuel cell? "Limitless run-time" would change the entire portable recharger market!

you're gonna hate me..
I wouldn't leave my new mobile to recharge in a hotel lobby (because I always travel with a recharger) most concierges already have a selection of mobile chargers in the back room. maybe Orange etc with their festival sponsorship could use the multi-mobile recharging stations ? I just question the true market value of these products unless they're designed in such a way as to be a statement piece (which I don't know because I haven't seen them - has anyone got a jumpit website ??)

Assume a major hotel chain takes them up on this to have on display behind the concierge desk, maybe 500 units - 1 per site? will the profit sustain jumpit and what repeat business / what frequency ?

Agree that maybe the projected figures stack up (ish) however on a product level it just doesn't feel right and seems very speculative apart from maybe a short term share price rebounder - I've been very wrong before!!, so all imvho.
very best of luck.

Perhaps explained the reasons behind the sustained fall.

need to be very careful of what's being implied in the "discussions with large retailer" statement above, could be setting themselves up for a fall.

what concerns me with a more medium turn veiw is the line "The company has successfully developed a series of innovative disposable and rechargeable batteries for mobile phones, iPods and other handheld devices for which it holds the intellectual property rights"
They're a (non-manufacturing) middle man. Also are they not aware of the WEE directive coming into force in jan '06 (excact date tbc) regarding suppliers responsability for recycling disposable good such as this and the money involved?? retailers will look to pass ALL of the financial burden of this legislation back onto their suppliers / companies such as this.

also they are ignoring the fact that Apple settled in court 3 weeks ago and agreed to replace all the first generation ipod batteries (the problematic ones which gained apple all the bad press about battery life)...

I simply don't believe that people would rather carry yet another re-chargable battery (to recharge their rechargeable battery!!) than an in car charger or a std mains recharge... the best idea i've seen in this feild is the wind up quick charge for your mobile.
all very much imho, however I will remain on the sidelines.
very best of luck all.

Norwegian maker, main market is US, but as stated in latest RNS, expanding into UK and Asia. I reckon Asia will be big. They love camcorders.

Too early for me to top-up. Just bought last week at 35.88p

An interesting Company. However, a few points:

- There doesn't appear to be an "Admission to AIM" RNS, therefore there will be a lack of knowledge of the float and no info on the Company. No Prospectus, no broker estimates...

- This is the first Norwegian Company to float in London apparently. One other European company I watch called Teleunit (TLU) floated on AIM a while back - they're Italian, but have a derisory forward PE due to lack of investor interest. Sets a poor precedent for small Euro companies floating on AIM.

Ordinary iPod battery life is 4-8 hours per charge. JUMPIT's branded Cellboost (called iRecharge for iPods units) gives an extra 95% life per charge . IPod units sold in March 05 quarter alone is 5 m. Do your maths! Camcorders count amongst other devices.

Today's slide is beyond my understanding. 50k buys 11k sells.

In 2004 JUMPIT made an operating profit of £80,000 on sales of £0.8m. Looking forward, JUMPIT has a guaranteed minimum income of £1.75m for eight years to 2013, from distribution agreements already in place. At 40p, the company is valued at £19m. (Source: TechInvest July 05 issue. Editor rec buy at 40p.)

Came to AIM market 6th July with a placing at 40p touching 44p on first day dealing raising £3m for expansion valuing the company at £19m

The company developes disposable and rechargable batteries used in mobile phones, portable games and many other devices.

The most interesting product is a rechargable docking station for the iPod were the market is potentially huge.

Company is profitable and has recently announced the appointment of a deputy Managing director with 19 years experience working for IBM.
