ionlypostafterbbms: The share price has gone from 80something p to under 3p & you still can't see anything amiss?
boisterous: The biggest scam here is paying $62m for land that is worth $1m, Also, dividend is paid out of profits not out of share price so the sentence below is nonsense. Steer clear of this one it is a total scam. In the light of recent share price underperformance and confidence in Jiasen's long term prospects, the Board is considering a number of options to help improve the Company's share price performance. Recognising this opportunity to capture future growth and the fact that Group's existing dividend policy provides for an unrealistically high yield on the current share price, management has decided to commence a review of these options which may result in a reduction, or even cancellation of, future dividend payments.
kingston78: Stay long and stay cool. So often and for so many companies profit taking knocks the share price back by 50% only to see it rise many times more. JSI may not be a 10 bagger in the short term, but a 4 bagger should be within sight.
kingston78: One can lose money by investing in any kind of companies, but we should be selective by picking the winners and avoid the losers. We must not taint all Chinese companies with the same brush. As a matter of fact there are many successful Chinese companies. JSI is one of them. Solid business with a good business plan, broadening customer base, backed up by assets, cash flow and dividend streams. Talking of dividends, it is traditional for companies to pay a higher final dividend. Assuming JSI pays 1p final dividend, that will take the annual total to 1.5p, at a current share price of say 10p. That will yield 15%. Where can you get this sort of return. I therefore reason that the share price will multiply from here to 20 p then 30 p etc.
kingston78: I have persistently said that this share was way undervalued. The results and net assets support my argument. The share price should go back up to at least 40 p as a first stop (chart wise). I would not be surprised if the share price end at 20 p by close of business today. Doubters have misunderstood this company.
kingston78: The company must be feeling confident about its future by expanding. I would be very surprised if it ditches a dividend payment to shareholders this time round if it is making a profit, albeit at a reduced level. Bearing in mind the low share price currently, the dividend yield would be likely to be quite generous relatively. That will get a re-rating and push up the share price. I bet the share price will at least double the current level soon.
dicko80: spoke with IR today - The company is well aware of the comments being made by a certain blogger, they have decided to let the companies results do the talking. Once people see the company is growing and profitable then the doubters will go away, but they do want to keep shareholders more updated going forward and will be doing this at the very least with releasing quaterly trading updates. They mentioned there have been 2 very balanced articles about the company recently. One in China Daily hxxp:// and one in the FT I asked about directors buying shares and was told Mr Wolfe is very "switched on" which made me think maybe they might buy some shares in the market after the release of the interims or even a share buy back with the large cash on the books ($48million) Mr W is of the opinion that the current mkt valuation is purely due to Jiasen being a chinese company and being "tard with the same brush" which is very unfortunate, as the company has a large cash base, profitable, but over time the opinion will change as the company grows. The company also had a buy rating re-affirmed by Beaufort Securities five times the current mkt valuation and also that the company has agreed that investors can sell shares @ the float price of 82p if they de-list within 2 years. They have issued 3 number "we are not aware of any reason why the share price has fallen" RNS to re-affirm the company is trading in line with market expectations and if anything had changed they would need to update the market. See June RNS interims are pending and will be out shortly.
dicko80: interest rate cut in China a few weeks ago... will only increase turnover and profit.. taken from results RNS April 16th April "The easing of property cooling measures along with more affordable mortgages are encouraging developments and as such we are well positioned to capitalise on the increased demand for semi furnished apartments." "The desire for semi-furnished new apartments, known as Refined Housing Decoration (RHD) continues to increase which is expected to drive demand for the Group's multiple product offering." "The recent fall in our share price is disappointing and the Board believes it does not reflect the underlying value of the business. Our financial performance is positive and our strategy is clearly delivering solid growth. We therefore look to the future with confidence." ........................................ also worth noting the comment regarding the fall in the share price.. this would have been when it was 40 - 30p range..falling from 70p + ...................... now @ 6.75p
andysand: Free money here apparently! This refers to ACE. I like JSI equally. Both these companies are ridiculously beaten down. takeover is inevitable with a share price this low in my opinion. The rumour would imply an immediate 10 bagger. Considering the low pe of 1(!), that seems about right.
kingston78: A maintained annual dividend of 3.85 p on the current share price of 7.5 p will yield 51%. Even if a reduced dividend of 2 p a year will yield 26.7%. Where can you find a share that provides this sort of investment return? Something has to change. The share price should rise substantially from here assuming the company is trading reasonably well and continues to be profitable.
