My last word on it as who knows whats going to happen in this crazy market.I also took some heart in a directors buy.Though they make mistakes, she bought220,000 in 2 tranches.Again, good luck in stressful times.

aspringo - interesting, thanks. I haven't invested, but the exposure to almost every asset class (index-linked?? dunno) is attractive. Charges are about 1% on top of internal charges. Spread is savage at the moment: 72-77, but in reality 72-75.6.

Agree. I've been in now at all levels. Buying 5 grand chunks, down still 20%.Been on to JP s out positioning of portfolio for covid issues but not heard.NAV down a lot from high but seems to have stabilised. Will have another but bigger portion if it drops further and NAV holds up as good value.Best of luck to all.Mine is my pension, do hoping income holds up.Cheers all

Yield 5.5% and discount about 13% with a truly global asset mix might make this interesting.

ChaosT thanks for the info on GO. I have spoken to some serious chess playing friends of mine and some (who play it) say it's stratically petty, in no way compares to chess and you will learn it. play. and find in the end it is an amateurs game of chess - mastered easily. These comments are from GM chess players.

Never been that good at Chess - got ranked (with an r) quite high with Reversi on MSN, getting into the interesting world of 'Go' - the culture is interesting here: Chess is a Western game, based on Western ideals. ie - the West believes (or did at the time) that in war, you go all out to destroy your enemy, leaving only the King standing. In Chess, you start with a board full of pieces, and end with only very few. whereas... Go is the Eastern form of Chess, based on Eastern ideals. ie - the Chinese belive that in war, you capture 'all under heaven', destroying nothing but gaining territory and capturing then converting your enemy (sun-tzu and all that). In 'Go' you start with an empty board, and end up with it covered in pieces and 'territories' Some other interesting comparisons: It has been said that no game of Go has ever been played the same way twice, and yet there are x number of combinations that a chess game can be played in. A computer can beat the top ranking players in the world in chess, whereas no computer has managed to beat better than an 'above average' player (measured in dans) in Go. The best chess players in the world would have a hard job beeting a 'Go' novice, and the best 'Go' players in the world would have a hard job beating a Chess novice. and finally, in ancient china, Samurai warriors used to settle disputes over a game of Go. The looser would be be-headed by the winner instantly. Original 'Go' boards have a hollowed area under the centre of the board where it is said, the loosers head is placed whilst the next contender steps up to the board..... So there you have it. A load of useless information. Regards ChaosT (available for dinner parties)

for those who love doing their heads in a little more, (as if the market was not enough) there is nothing like a game of online chess. www.pogo.com is the place, it's free and you can chat while playing. so if anyone fancies a game whilst discussing trading you can find me under the username: jamok8. if you add this your friends list in pogo, you can tell if i am online at the same time. post your usernames here so that i can hunt you down as well!
