Up 5% since midday on lots of small trades. Any ideas? Tipped?

Totally agree! If they keep reducing the net debt and improving ebitda / ebit, they should have a p/e of at least 12x in my opinion, regarding almost 100% regulated revenues, only online and a very strong targeting group (female in their middle age)

Only new possible thought is that if the FOBT inquiry concludes then the UK gambling sector will be ripe for further consolidation... so would not be surprised if a GVC (enriched with Ladbrokes), WillHill or Rank Group combo will pan out in the next 6-12 months. JPJ makes +£300k per day in decently growing markets, mostly regulated, cheapest compared to peers and looking to pay a dividend ASAP which will close the discount to peers... If something is cheap and cheerful and moving towards a tangible catalyst, does one really need anything new - thoughts or otherwise? :-)

Some new thoughts on Jackpotjoy? The company seems to go in the right direction and is way cheaper than peers.

Excellent news today on the refinancing. Good to see another bank on the syndicate (Nomura) vouching for the strong performing underlying business. Cutting a third of interest costs is quite significantly going to add to earnings in immediate term. Edison has a good summary: http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch.com/research/company/jackpotjoy Still looking cheap on a peer basis.

Another good set of results - I reckon institutions will be topping up pushing this to over 900p in the next few weeks.

Decent growth in this one and probably more to go. Took my trading profits but will keep an eye on this one and wait for the next results announcement (November I believe...)

Jackpotjoy PLC logoInvestment analysts at Berenberg Bank began coverage on shares of Jackpotjoy PLC (LON:JPJ) in a note issued to investors on Monday. The brokerage set a “buy” rating and a GBX 1,000 price target on the stock. Berenberg Bank’s target price would suggest a potential upside of 35.50% from the company’s previous close.

Good volume and price up again ... looks like the breakout is being sustained and supported by institutional investors. Surprised this isn't on more people's radars!

No problem KKD! Volume has ticked up and positive momentum on the breakout. I'm looking at a short-term trading play on this one. Too many other attractive businesses to put money in for the longer-term ;)

Looks like A classic cup and handle on the chart now. Will be interesting to see if it can continue its rise tomorrow.

It's held at 680p on the chart. Some massive volumes (200k buy) just gone through so looks like someone is accumulating large volumes. My guess is the institutional guys are making their move...

Now that we've seen the business break-out of its consolidation phase on the chart, let's see the reactions from the market following the earnings call later. If it holds its gains over the next day or two, I can see this rallying higher.

Just been reading the RNS. Firstly, I am not claiming to know this business / company inside out. However, would it be fair to say that there seem to be some interesting accounting going on here? A net loss of £20m (under IFRS) transforms into adjusted EBITDA of £59m. I know they all do it, but that is some swing. Perhaps it is tied into the major acquisition they made of the Spanish business. This is how: Adjusted net income, as defined by the Group, means net income plus or minus items of note that management may reasonably quantify and believes will provide the reader with a better understanding of the Group's underlying business performance. Adjusted net income is calculated by adjusting net income for accretion, amortisation of acquisition related purchase price intangibles and non-compete clauses, share-based compensation, Independent Committee related expenses, severance costs, loss/(gain) on cross currency swap, fair value adjustments on contingent consideration, transaction related costs, foreign exchange, and gain on sale of intangible assets. The exclusion of accretion and share-based compensation eliminates the non-cash impact and the exclusion of amortisation of acquisition related purchase price intangibles and non-compete clauses, Independent Committee related expenses, severance costs, loss/(gain) on cross currency swap, fair value adjustments on contingent consideration, transaction related costs, foreign exchange, and gain on sale of intangible assets eliminates items which management believes are non-operational and non-routine. Adjusted net income is considered by some investors and analysts for the purpose of assisting in valuing a company. Adjusted EBITDA, as defined by the Group, is income before interest expense (net of interest income), income taxes, amortisation and depreciation, share-based compensation, Independent Committee related expenses, severance costs, loss/(gain) on cross currency swap, fair value adjustments on contingent consideration, transaction related costs, foreign exchange, and gain on sale of intangible assets. Management believes that Adjusted EBITDA is another important indicator of the issuer's ability to generate liquidity to service outstanding debt and fund acquisition earn-out payments and uses this metric for such purpose. The exclusion of share-based compensation eliminates non-cash items and the exclusion of Independent Committee related expenses, loss/(gain) on cross currency swap, fair value adjustments on contingent consideration, transaction related costs, foreign exchange, and gain on sale of intangible assets eliminates items which management believes are non-operational and non-routine.

there were 12 reported trades with size >=100k - the largest 477k. So roughly 80% of volume today came from 12 prints (including all double counting). Lets see what RNS brings tomorrow AM

What was most interesting was the fact that there were so many trades towards the end of the day. 141 trades up for the first 8 hours until 4pm. But then 307 trades for the last half hour and the after hours prints. So activity really picked up significantly after 4pm. Some chunky volume went through too.

Yes was watching that - Bloomberg says volume is +3m, daily average is around 300k. So either a large buyer, a rumour I don't know of or some algo buying since it crossed into an all time high?
