07/11/2009 00:22 | The difference between JMCS and JIIS is that JMCS is out of the money in terms of the subsription price and likely to be so for some time. | tarvold
28/9/2009 20:27 | I just called in - too late as usual. I have held JMC/JII/JIIS and still have a small number of JIIS. I am enthusiastic about this board but it appears to have been deserted now. I did well with VED in its early days but after the big slump neglected to get back in. Will do some more homework on a few of the shares mentioned above which look very interesting, just hope I havn't missed the boat. | hawks11

11/5/2009 15:27 | I normally speak rarely on advfn bbs due to lack of micro-economic and financial skills; but this bb is perfect for me to get steam out on macro- and historical backgrounds. Just thoughts, that's all. More importantly, Leedskier, we must find BASKET Shares/FUND which hold Chinese shares! Look in this direction, please. pp | ppowerscourt
11/5/2009 15:24 | I go to China a lot and speak the language. If we were in China, I would be able to tell you which Chinese local plcs to buy but I'm resident here in UK. China's future wealth/growth stemmed from a few years back when she started buying up everything in Africa. From oilfields to mineral mines, hotels, etc. In return China gives technologies such as railroad building, roads and infrastructures to African nations as a lean to get exclusivity in deals concerning oil and minerals. China even sells arms to African nations in exchange for same. Africans like dealing with the Chinese. Africa and South America are very important to China for her projected growth and supplies have to come from these continents to fuel China's incessant and continuing demand. This is a calculated long-term stategy. Poor Africa, fresh from being exploited by the white men are now being sweetened by the yellow men with a design just as well. One Chinese company popped up which caught my attention a while back (but I do not remember name nor place now, regrettably) was a OIL RIG CONSTRUCTION firm, made by China. This is good because China was real behind in such technologies due to 59 yrs of inward communist training. One can relate to the same beginnings by the Japanese a few decades back --- from copying to production of world-class calibre in these heavy and demanded machineries. Does this not foretell China's ambition to dominate Africa where oil is prolific but lacking enough rigs to do the job? Cheers, pp | ppowerscourt
11/5/2009 15:03 | China Medical, CMSH, made big stride again. The problem with these smallish Chinese plcs is that there are too many of them and really impossible to catch them all. TrustJPMorgan though. US opened down just now. Expect a breather in global mkts as well., hopefully not for too long. pp | ppowerscourt
11/5/2009 13:59 | ppowerscourt, many thanks I will spend this afternoon having a look at there shares you listed. | leedskier
10/5/2009 14:13 | leedskier, CGOP --- A group whose objective is to provide shareholders with capital growth from investing in a portfolio of companies whose business operations are based in China. 50 mil shares. Currently trading at 22p. Directors bought at 41p earlier this yr. I'm watching CGOP which has been climbing steadily recently. How about keeping your eye on it as well. I think China's economy has returned back to its stellar growth path after the short-lived downtown. It's better to leave the investing to fund managers who are into select picking from keen and on location long-term monitoring of these hot Chinese companies. It would be an endless job for individual investor like me to pick and invest individual Chinese companies! Although I am currently invested in WCC, PMHL and CHNS on AIM mkt. Let me know what you think on this subject as we have this bb to ourselves. JPMorgan doesn't like to disappoint. Check out their India holdings as well. BRIC countries still in focus for more immediate recovery. Cheers, pp Blue skies for this share as there's no record further than today's share price which is equivalent to its IPO share price which then saw the global fall since July 08. | ppowerscourt
