Incredible the profit is only going to be miniscule. The directors are even cautious looking forward jeez. If they can't carpet bag the market in the year just gone by there must be no hope for the business. I don't know a kitchen or bathroom fitter who has not had there busiest ever year.

Please do not tell me we are fish and chip paper already after such stunning update.

2 buyers yesterday sold today, one paid 1.39p 19k and sold for 1.25p...

What would be great if all the directors and senior staff took the John Lewis stake
from the founder or is it his son, either way the stake being sold down

That would be a massive vote of confidence

I was already in at 1p and I added another 500k via 100-150 max online blocks at 1.25p today.

Just bonkers this penny market. This is making more money than a lot of stock worth £20 mil+

Deserves to be 2p for me or £4 mil cap if it's making £500k or better now a year

red army.....I think you need to do a bit more research. There were significant board changes about 18 months ago and the CEO is top quality. A number of changes have made a big difference to their potential.

I'll call them up and say it's just not good enough making £250k profit+ in 6 months when you are only valued at £2 mil.

Perhaps you should go to stocks like ITX that went from £5 mil to £70 mil and still lose money and barely have a few million turnover.

This is the first time I have looked at this share on the back of todays rise. Having looked at the website I have to say that my first impression is to have a good clear out of the board inc NED's as they all look washed out. Can someone tell me why this is not the case as they should be doing a lot lot better given the trading of competitors. My last thought is that they could be taken out as someone would be interested in the tax losses. They appeared to have struggled to make a profit throughout their company history.

With their braggadacio and ignorance, those short-term traders have been creating some marvellous buying and selling opportunities in the last 18 months.

I am very sad to see that many have vanished already due to loss of funds.

I totally agree Dave and I am very biased so do take that into account.

That is an outstanding performance especially considering the stores were closed during half of the H2 period when they made this reversal to profitability.

Forward orders look very strong too and we know that home sales are very good and generally the public are spending on Kitchens, studies and bedrooms.

If they just match this second half performance in the full year to June 2022 then the profits will put this on a crazy low rating. If sales continue to increase that would be wonderful news and very well done to all the team and staff who have clearly been working very hard to achieve this.

Laughable really

375k bought clearly by one/two people in small lots

And 375k sold for little or no profit

Lets see how long the buyers in first thing hold their nerve for.

No quote to buy at 1.3p but mm's are not budging easily, they normally get bailed out if one sells the rest follow but after that news it should be over 1.5p

Excellent update this morning.

I'm not sure if JLH can trade strong all year round but if they can do a £250k ish reversal in fortunes then they can make £400-500k profit in a full clean year.

Not bad for a £2 mil stock.

:-))

Nope but somebody chasing the dream like so many do on the daily flyer and then when it's actually back to a fair price they decide to sell

if it goes sub 1p I'll def have a nibble
