It should certainly attract interest from the trackers.

Share issue successful. That's good, as failure would have been a reputational blow at least. This could be useful:

The Company expects to be eligible to be considered for inclusion in the FTSE UK 250 Index at the next FTSE quarterly review meeting on 7 December 2011.

I've received the dividend today and I haven't taken up the issue - good luck to any holders that did !

"Risk off" again.

Would I buy these in the market now? No, so I'll pass on the offer.

Wouldn't be worth it for my paltry sum! TDW have now announced - I have until the 19th to decide.

HICL & JLIF account for about 7% of my SIPP - so I probably will decline the offer - good luck.

I see that 3IN, HICL and JLIF together make up 5.5% of our family portfolio. I thought it was more, so there's elbow room and cash in the bank to take up the offer, and some if they're available.

Given the markets and my current situation (retired) I think these could help the total to 10%.

I had the documentation from Hargreaves Lansdown last Monday (3rd) - I'm still undecided but will probably leave it, as I have a fairly (for me) large holding.

My broker (TDW) hasn't given me the chance to subscribe yet ... deadline is 17/10.

Now being quoted 103.85 - baring a miracle, the offer must be dead in the water.

Agreed about taking up - I'd need a margin of comfort, and there's no stamp duty to save anyway.

148,365,000 is maximum issue. Won't go ahead unless applications are received for at least 60,000,000 shares.

JL will invest only if maximum not reached. Question - will JL ensure issue proceeds, so that they swap operations for shares in JLIF? Possibly.

Offer price at close was 105.5p - debatable whether it's worth subscribing.

Interesting that JLIF, HICL and 3IN have been steady over the last two months.

I'll probably make an excess application - worthwhile picking up stock free of brokerage and at a slight discount.

John Laing Infrastructure Fund

Completion of acquisition of Cleveland Police Headquarters

John Laing Infrastructure Fund ("JLIF"), which successfully raised approximately GBP27.4 million on 4 April, is pleased to announce it has completed the acquisition of the third of the four PFI/PPP infrastructure projects, which it recently agreed to purchase from the John Laing Group.

The project, in which the Company now has a 42.5% stake, is Cleveland Police Headquarters in Middlesbrough. Today's announcement follows the recent acquisitions of Bentilee Community Centre, near Stoke-on-Trent, 100% owned by JLIF, and the increase in its stake in Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Greenwich, from 12.5% to 27.5%.

The completion of the acquisition of the fourth project, the Roseberry Park Hospital, is dependent on the John Laing Group's completion of residual requirements and subsequent final consents, expected in the coming months, after which time the Company is expected to own a 22 asset portfolio.

Yes, just read it. All three infrastructure companies I hold (JLIF, HICL, 3IN) have been firm lately, and a running yield of 5% plus index-linked on divi and assets can't be sniffed at.

Political concerns seem to have been quietly shelved.
