25/6/2021 13:30 | Dividend in my account this morning :-) | gateside
14/6/2021 09:05 | JLEN: the acquisition of a 100% equity stake in Cramlington Renewable Energy Developments Ltd ("CRED"), which owns a Biomass Combined Heat and Power plant ("CHP Plant") and its underlying contracts. | petewy
11/6/2021 13:19 | "32% wind, 26% AD, 21% solar, 17% waste and wastewater, 2% low carbon & energy efficiency and 2% hydro by value Solid performance from the portfolio, which generated 0.4% above target with the AD and solar portfolios both outperforming against generation targets and wind performing marginally below its generation target" Not sure can read much into the above - but hydro the place to be apparently, the turbines last & last. JLEN seem keener on AD. I'd have some concern that as the higher CT kicks in, the 1.07x covered divi becomes a risk. Is possible the current downward pressure on power prices reverses by then tho.. | spectoacc
11/6/2021 12:15 | The portfolio balance is possibly heavy with expensive to operate anaerobic and wastewater plants, would assume wind turbine maintenance costs much lower in comparison? | andyadvfn1
11/6/2021 11:46 | They lost 5.3p of NAV - in a year - tho in fairness much of that due to the CT increase. Divi only just covered too. If they keep trading above it & can keep issuing new shares, guess they can keep growing. Wouldn't want to be in a lot of these enviro ITs when they stop being able to raise cash - the assets naturally depreciate over time, & most are finite life. | spectoacc
11/6/2021 11:12 | JLEN share price will go nowhere till that NAV improves. This is my worst performer in my portfolio in 2021 | gateside
11/6/2021 10:44 | I can't get away from JLEN having a 92.6p (& seemingly falling) NAV. | spectoacc
11/6/2021 09:56 | It certainly isn't setting the world on fire. I'm looking into adding my exposure to sector and wanted to spread the risk as I already have TRIG. I first looked at JLEN, TRIG and UKW back in nov19. All at that time had been on upward trajectory. As it was a modest investment it was only worth picking one. I plumped for TRIG. Luckily ( and probably the only time ) I think I picked the right one based on subsequent performance.TRIG pretty much at Same price I paid at the time. Had the divis of course on top. However JLEN and UKW are approx 15 & 10% respectively down.Any views on the reason for the underperformance? | andyadvfn1
10/6/2021 16:17 | Arguably JLEN's entire purpose, not setting the world on fire ;) | spectoacc
10/6/2021 16:15 | results look Ok not setting the world on fire | petewy
03/6/2021 18:17 | FTSE up 9% YTD JLEN down 10% YTD That's some underperformance! | gateside
02/6/2021 16:42 | Ex dividend 1.69p tomorrow | gateside
18/5/2021 18:03 | Fair enough. It is a tactic to raise money for sure but I do like the fact There is only circa a quarter of income is dependent on the power price here .. less risk as a result. | edwardt |
