Hi R123 just about to post the news about their auditors and you beat me to it! What a mess and like you said every investor must be thankful to be well out of it. Some did choose to try and deal Over The Counter Bernie Madoff style! Two groups of oligarchs hiding behind sovereignty fighting over control of Ukraine and PPC and those defenceless poor souls as usual sat right in the middle. I can't see Companies House allowing them to do business for much longer. Good luck!Just part of the auditors last ever statement. Not good at all. "The Company's significant operations relate to producing oil and gas fields in Ukraine and Russia undertaken through subsidiaries in those countries. Our audit procedures in respect of the year ended 31 December 2021 were incomplete as at 24 February 2022 when the Russian invasion of Ukraine commenced and remain so. In light of the invasion and subsequent events relevant to the financial statements, significant additional procedures would be required to satisfy our obligations under International Standard on Auditing 600 in respect of the audit of the significant components in Russia and Ukraine. In our professional judgment, procedures required to obtain sufficient and appropriate audit evidence would require the audit engagement team to visit both Russia and Ukraine. Such travel is not possible or carries unacceptable risk to the safety and wellbeing of our people. Accordingly we are unable to complete the audit or determine if or when such procedures can be completed. • The Company's Board has been subject to several resignations and appointments during the course of June 2022. As a result of these changes we have concerns regarding the independence of the Board and governance. We will be notifying the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales of our resignation under Section 522 of the Act. "

Yet another eastern junior oil company, Russian, ZOLtav being tendered but at a 10% premium before AIM delist. Same lame reason blaming lack of institutional investors. Hey, who can blame them. Small free-float and I expect others listed on the LSE. If it looks to good to be true......https://investegate.co.uk/zoltav-resources-inc--zol-/rns/proposed-aim-cancellation-and-tender-offer/202112200700071141W/

Yup and it wasn't about helping investors, it was about helping oligarchs help themselves to investors' assets

Still on their website,"Back in 1994 we became Ukraine's first foreign investor in the gas sector. JKX is a company that is ideally positioned to help investors access the significant opportunities now opening up in Ukraine."The first foreign investor and the last.

I'm guessing the FCA are throwing up their hands at this one, just pleased the company is getting delisted and investors get something

Don't think many nominee accounts will get the option to vote.I saw a link a while ago listing which nominees provided this service... not many..Some will not vote some will try to work out what they think is in their investors interests and vote that. Easy in this case!Perhaps JKX investors could campaign to their nominee holder to vote 100% against!?It's a bit futile perhaps but worth seeing how close this might go....

Fairly remote I think. For a start I would imagine most small investors own their shares through an app like Hargreaves Lansdowne. As they are not direct shareholders, it makes it very hard to vote. I'd be interested if anyone knows how I would go about that as as far as JKX are concerned, HL are the owners

Well it's presumably Kolomoisky pulling the strings here. The Americans have put a travel ban on him to the USA as they believe he robbed Privatbank and left the Ukraine govt holding the baby. If you look at the Pandora papers he comes up as having paid a company that paid the president's wife....I suppose he's underpaying shareholders because he can. I don't think good governance is his strong point. There's one argument here that he's the reason the govt won't pay jkx the money they owe them. So all in all he seems to be bad news for investors.

My guess is there's not so much volume out there for now to attract big investors, so there are a lot of small investors who own shares...and they tend to react much more than funds who are likely to look at fundamentals. So Putin says something, they overreact and sell like it's the end of the world. I think sooner or later fundamentals have to feed through into share price

I think for anyone it's not the money but the percentage of what they have invested. The nature of this share is that it attracts small investors as its a small company, but looking at some of the recent buys, bigger investors are coming in.
