I tend to agree with you mesquida. Market cap is still under £20m. Even 18% of Verbier alone would dramatically change the company.

Andrew Benitz, CEO of Jersey Oil & Gas, commented:

"We are delighted to confirm the Company's participation in a well to be drilled on the highly material and prospective Verbier prospect in which Jersey Oil & Gas holds an 18% interest. We believe the planned well could be one of the most exciting exploration prospects to be drilled in the UKCS in recent years."

You say that it could plummet on a sell-off , but actually there has been a lot of selling into the rise and it has not plummeted ! Have you not been following the activities of Mr.Gyllenhammar ! ?
And you also say that it is going up because it is illiquid, but I beg to differ, because thanks to Mr. Gyllenhammar it has been possible to buy substantial amounts of stock over the past 3 months. In my opinion It is going up because it is the wrong price - simple as that.

Good advice It's the illiquidity of such a small number of shares which is driving this price. It's going up fast on small trades. It could also plummet even faster on any sell-off.

If we get early confirmation of the rig hire, and a potential drilling date, then the share price should certainly soon start with a 2.
But with a production deal at an advantageous price, financed without too much equity dilution, then that 2 should surely be a 3 !
In that event I cannot imagine which song wisecat will be singing !

Massive volume ( relatively speaking ) today. Wonder how many PG sold. Do hope that our Board do not feel obliged to offer him participation in any future placing that the company might have to action, say as part of a financing package to secure the acquisition of production assets.

I sold most of my Sou, bought in here and it seems we are off to the races already. It may be worth selling a few before the drill or at 350p. Is anyone else here?

I just heard Malcy's take on this and it does seem to be very positive. Starts at about 9.25. Drilling expected in August and before it drills it could be one of the most exciting stocks in the market place. He then warns punters to take a bit of the table if the shares double or treble, which is more than likely. A success could take this into the stratosphere as they have more wells on the block.

The big unknown, rogerlin, is whether PG is just selling down the placing shares ( on which as you rightly say he has substantial profits ) and then he intends to run with the residual holding ( approx. 500,000 ) which are ex- Trap and therefore stand him in at a much higher level. Or is he wanting out completely before the drill.
Either way I do hope that our Board do not feel obliged to offer him any shares in any future placing that they might have to launch, for example to help finance the purchase of production assets.

The Union Discount Company of London Limited ("UDCL") and Peter Gyllenhammar AB ("PGAB"), existing shareholders in the Company, are 100 per cent. owned by Mr Peter Gyllenhammar and together are interested, in aggregate, in 51,102,026 Existing Ordinary Shares representing approximately 22.5 per cent. of the Company's existing issued share capital. Accordingly, UDCL and PGAB are deemed to be related parties of the Company for the purposes of the AIM Rules for Companies. PGAB has subscribed for 1,136,364 Placing Shares pursuant to the Placing, such that following completion of the Placing UDCL and PGAB will be interested, in aggregate, in 1,647,383 New Ordinary Shares representing approximately 19.75 per cent. of the Enlarged Share Capital.

The placing (28/7/15) was at 22p and so Gyllenhammar will have a nice profit on those shares. As for the ones he held in Trap (consolidated 100:1) he and any other remaining Trappists will have to wait for glorious success at Verbier. Statoil have processed this drill quickly, let us hope they have good reason.

Statoil will fund the well to be drilled in the summer, up to a cost of $25 million. It shouldn't exceed that.
If it does overshoot, then JOG's share is 8% of costs. That is their 18% interest less the 10% carried by CIECO.
However, if they are successful, JOG maintain a 18% financial interest in the well and that would be their share of revenues.
The only point that needs highlighting is in their Placing rns of November, this statement was made:

"The net proceeds of the Placing will be used towards technical studies and evaluation in support of the committed exploration well to be drilled on UK Seaward Licence P.2170, Blocks 20/5b and 21/1d (the "Verbier Well") planned in Summer 2017 and general working capital purposes, thereby, in the Directors' opinion, ensuring the Company is funded through the Verbier Well programme and has sufficient working capital to continue to pursue its pipeline of production acquisition targets."

So it would appear that although Statoil are funding the drill, JOG is still on the hook for any pre drill expenses at a rate of 8%.
