The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) has initiated a new Area Plan to ensure economic recovery from the Greater Buchan area of the North Sea, and has identified a further 150-300 million barrels of oil equivalent estimated to be present in the area.”

A snippet from Simon Cawkwell on Master Investor FWIW:

"I was licking my wounds over Empyrean (EME) when suddenly Family Cawkwell’s 200,000 Jersey Oil and Gas (JOG) came to life and leapt 60p to stand at 230p. All is restored in the equilibrium stakes.

"A journo, whom I respect, Simon Thompson of the IC, touches upon a “risked” valuation of the order of 600p. So I am not closing down my exposure and if anything I am fancying doubling my posish."

I think it's worth c.£130m / £4 per share at the very least FWIW. This is my pessimistic, and very rough, view based on the favourable political climate making a farm-out deal inevitable and the Finncap valuation of 572p based on $60 per barrel - then with a massive discount applied even to that (which is already fairly pessimistic).

Obviously, we need to wait and see what the terms of any deal are though and it may drift down on lack of news-flow - or if there's a coup in the Kremlin! :-)

I hope we are distinguishing between those that think it might go ballistic, and those who want it too.

If so, I am one of those who wants/thinks both!

So who thinks JOG is about to go parabolic?

It certainly seems to have all the makings of a stock that does, and has already made a very good start. Just look at Friday's volume!

I'm talking 500+ pence, within weeks.

Any thoughts?

"Going back to 150P leaving £2+ buyers up the creek without a paddle ! They can only hope for good news but the silence from the company so far this year is deafening". The dunce's hat's in the corner robbie boy - don't forget to send us a photo. When can we expect your next bit of shrewd advice?
