Gas price actually higher than oil On a boe basis. Quite phenomenal. Will get spun as ‘we havent invested enough into renewables’ as opposed to ‘investing all in renewables did this’ i bet

Southern why don't you go and find a North Sea technical expert to support your negative analysis !

Go look at what happened when talisman injected water into buchan as a trial. Go find a North Sea technical expert not paid by the company and talk them through the data from that period. Maybe find the several retired geologists and engineers who spend a career looking at the damn thing. Form a view. It’s how investing works. Doing that come with any downside? Actually even better don’t do any of that but confidently spout opinions on a forum..

Maybe the many 00s of uk E&P companies who have all (over many years) with access to data you haven’t looked at chosen to stay away should all be in a bidding war as we speak. Maybe the opinions of some confident sounding retired accountant on the other forum derisk it enough for you. Maybe.

‘But schlumberger’. Interesting that the numbers are much higher than those in the cpr. ‘But vysus’. Maybe you should read the statement about what they have assured exactly. Maybe maybe maybe. Maybe you just throw all your money at it. Maybe maybe. Good luck.

The problem with writing such asinine comments as are written on here, is that you all go rather quiet when the share price moves in an equal and opposite direction. Those of you who think there is fraud, or just pure mismanagement post comments for reasons that are hard to fathom, except for being those brave keyboard warriors who can hide behind the computer screen and troll away to your heart's content.
The monumental stupidty that is at the heart of the growing commodity crisis - lets call it the green agenda - that prevents major oil co's from doing what is needed to keep the lights on and the hearth heated means that many are frightened away from investing in heaven sent opportunities.
UK gas prices at an all time high and up 4 fold this year, coal prices at a multi year high. Oil will shortly follow and the Uk gov't will realise that mothballing all future O&G production is no election winner when the utility bills need paying.
Not too late to buy JOG at £1.20!

Nonsense. Another timely antidote to self-interested corporate PR puffs. Look at the chart...down into double figures this week?

Totally agree with you JTS . Andrew Benitz, Ronald Lansdale and the rest of the Jersey crew are here to shaft gullible investors . They are on very high salaries and have delivered FA. Of course the Electrification Studies will suit these people fine . I doubt they will do the honourable deed of taking a reduction in salary as this study has no doubt slowed down oil till at least 2028 at the very earliest . They are smiling and sitting comfortably , as they are paid for doing Nothing . Leading gullible fools up the garden path , spinning the yarn etc .Oh we need another fund raise to recruit well calibration experienced staff . What on earth are these people doing ??. Feed has been delayed , originally Benitz mentioned to Malcy we will look at a 1000 different drawings before we decide on the rig , ha ha ha ! I would stay well clear if this co, definitely heading lower , doubt if this will ever get commercialised . Green energy is here to stay, plenty of opportunities with less hassle elsewhere . It is a lifestyle co , fine dining , driving fast cars , executive lunches … LIFESTYLE COMPANY

JTS - can you explain what you mean by your statement: "Assets don’t have enough npv to make it worthwhile", please? I'm confused.

electrification.. it’s perfect storyline for BoD. Every big company is essentially forced to study electrification and the oga politically of course has to be positive about it and words are free. jog attach their name to some big boys and inevitably will suffer endless delays which you can blame on non-controllables.. all whilst banking that big salary.

electrification simply won’t work in cns. Assets don’t have enough npv to make it worthwhile. Major new billion bbl field in Norway with a pseudo government controlled major.. yes it gets done. Mature Central North Sea.. laughable. Unaffordable and far too commercially complex to happen at any pace. And even if it did work.. they’d send their gas onshore to generate electricity to export back to platforms. There really are better uses of capital of climate change is your concern..

What’s really funny is this news polarises further. The naive hail it as another win and the rest see it as more evidence of a lifestyle company.

What a chart...into double figures soon. And all the while the Jersey chums are coining it in. Considering that its an old field and presumably well understood, its staggering how long its taken them to come up with a concept selection only. And they even got that wrong with last minute change on the electrification front. Throw in the green mob which is gonna reject and stall all new investments and you've got a real problem. Frankly, Id be surprised if anybody wants to invest in UK waters. Therefore...JOGs a dead duck...whatever Malcy might say after lunch.

They are in talks with potential third party funding providers regarding this .I think Benitz has got too big for his boots, finding a farmout partner for the GBA project will be hard enough without taking this project on aswell .So much uncertainty no wonder the share price has crashed and it will only go down further if they start borrowing big sums to fulfill this pipe dream. No oil until 2028 how many placings and dilutions is that ?
Shareholders look goosed imo they should remove Benitz and RL and put someone in to sell the company Equinor might come back if they were the sole owner and operator Apache oil may also be interested. Get rid of AB and RL before you lose everything.
Hi Kakapo1 have AB and RL been removed before do you know ?

Electrification is a mammoth undertaking using relatively new technology still being developed. The eventual cost is unknown. Equinor are developing, doubtful JOG have the expertise to engineer this innovative power system without a collaborative Partner(s) who do have the know-how. Cost, and time, as always will be the determining factors.
