Tim Martin is an interesting character - I picked up a beer mat in my local Wetherspoons promoting a hard Brexit - 'headlined 'Free Trade (ie 'no deal') means lower prices'.

Yet this morning BBC Radio 4 Today Prog. he was contemplating that his prices would have to rise on account of Brexit.

I wonder whether he is going to re-print the beer mats this time with the truth,

An outstanding bitter

Black Sheep was born from the pioneering spirit of Paul Theakston who, in 1992, followed his heart and dared to start a new brewery.

Maybe he's expecting the Queen to pop in for advice on running the Country?

No stained seat covers in the Windsor pub I visited the other day. Wheat beers are a niche market here.

Yes he's replaced the World Class German Wheat Beers with corriander water. Also with £93,357,000 free cash flow just announced maybe he'll get round to recovering the stained seat covers.

His results are a Political Rant enabled by all the local functioning alcoholics who prop the business up. With cheap beer and demographics on his side over the years. How could he go wrong.

You

Hi Alan

Yes I agree that the turnover of staff has been very high but we are currently in the process of recruiting staff and have implemented a training buddy scheme to help new starters reach the standard that we hope to deliver to you, our valued customers.

I’m very sorry to hear that we did not reach this standard on you last visit with us, I hope that you will give us another chance to get this right for you

Regards
Sarah

We can be a FREE trading nation!' Wetherspoons boss shuts down Labour MP in FIERY clash

WETHERSPOONS boss Tim Martin was involved in a fiery clash with Labour MP Jess Philips after he suggested a no deal Brexit would allow the Government to divide the £40billion withdrawal deal between British citizens.

VAT is only payable on the difference between input cost and output cost so it's not as bad as it seems. As for employment I've always considered JDW to be a good employer with bonus payments and free shares after being there eighteen months. Perhaps Tim Martin will rename one of his Brighton pubs The Red Flag.

Ballot in JDW 's Brighon pubs over union recognition and low pay highlighted in catering trade mag -

Sept 13th, JDW will be paying customer's VAT on food and drink as protest on high street costs.

Might buy a few more, 4% discount....

Hate to be pedantic but there are plenty of churches that have closed down - some becoming pubs.

Never heard of a Church closing down.

Totally agree and when all the shops and pubs have gone there will be no taxes coming and in it will be too late, action is needed now.

"Pubs are one of the few places that different age groups and income brackets mix freely in a friendly atmosphere. British culture has revolved around the pub for many centuries, and the closure of our pubs through high taxation and vexatious lawmaking is nothing less than cultural vandalism! They should be allowed to thrive, not be taxed or legislated out of existence."
