Brexit is not a party political issue. It is an economic consideration for business.

Other CEOs are always mentioning it.

He's a CEO spouting political beliefs in a trading update ffs?!

Talk about the business and why H2 is going to be tougher, not what your bloody views on brexit untruths are...!

Tim Martin is a British citizen, a UK taxpayer and a UK voter. He's not ranting, he's exposing the lies and deceit of a whole political class. He wants the truth to be told and he resents the idea that this clique believe they can manipulate people using the most vilest of tactics

Good on him. We need more like him to expose the leeches that have infected the body politic

he's a moral man

it would be nice to see Tim Martin spending less time ranting on pro-Brexit issues and more time explaining why H2 is going to be tougher than H1. He's a CEO, not a bloody political commentator.

JDW have benefitted from comparative numbers and thus an imbalanced inflow of speculation. The charts now look perilously overbought, indeed the further back you go the more stratospheric the increase and the more unsustainable. Difficult to see how buyers will be more aggressive from here on. Only time until the bulk of the rise is reversed.

Booker supplies 468,000 restaurants and pubs

The Government begins the death of the small food retailer.

Tesco, the UK’s largest supermarket chain, has received final approval from the country’s competition regulator for its £3.7bn takeover of wholesaler Booker

This is not right, Tesco is taking control of the downward supply chain, and this chain also supplies smaller competitors, these competitors will either have to
find another supplier or be at the mercy of Tesco and her prices.

The merger will turn Tesco into a major supplier to small shopkeepers, serving 125,000 independent convenience stores as well as 468,000 restaurants and pubs.

So what would we do without all the immigrants, we wouldn't collapse or implode, we wouldn't starve, we would find a way to just get on with life without the hand car wash and kebab shops and the thousands of coffee shops which a lot of immigrants are employed in.

'Immigration is a good thing for Britain's economy', pro-Brexit JD Wetherspoon's boss claims

WETHERSPOON customers are demanding that the pub chain opens its doors at five in the morning.

Regulars have asked the pub company to bring forward opening times from 8am, to ensure that they do not waste the early morning in sobriety.

Dear JohnI think you have made an error posting an article that you think will be negative for Spoons but is, in fact, very good news for pub sales!? You may wish to edit/remove...In other news today's app update now allows Amex card users to pay & as they spend double all other card users when flashing will prove rewarding for all.

Beaufort Securities

The shares deserve some premium to its peers but trading at FY2018E P/E of 18.6x with dividend yield of only around 1%, it now reflects just about all anticipated opportunities, while remaining vulnerable to any downside shocks. Beaufort downgrade the shares to Sell (from Hold) and set a price target of 1,142p.

These will look better by the day as the rivals stats come out. No wonder one moved from a few days before to 30 Nov hoping comparisons will be forgotten...
