Price up 600p in last 3 years thanks to Big Tim, most holders here inc you will have other holdings less well performing so quit moaning. Why dont you start up a company and try and match this increase?

At last. Action is finally being taken against Tim Martin for using company/shareholders' cash to foist his political opinions upon unassuming customers. It is about time that he has been taught a lesson about his fundamental fiduciary responsibilities as chairman - that Wetherspoon is a public company and not his own personal fiefdom. Has there been no debate in the Wetherspoon boardroom about that issue and the other scandalous decision to stop selling European drinks?

Bar staff and management at Wetherspoons are wearing cameras to help prevent crime and disorder, the pub chain has confirmed.

Punters may have noticed management and staff wearing the small, yellow and black cameras around their necks in recent weeks at Middlesbrough's The Swatters Carr.

But the value-chain's Linthorpe Road outlet isn't the only pub that you'll see the cameras.

Wetherspoon spokesman Eddie Gershon said: "This is a company initiative and not specific to The Swatters Carr.

Decision made on George Pub and Grill licence, with two conditions added to 'written warning'



"Our other pubs in Teesside will be following suit.

"As a licensed operator, Wetherspoon must uphold the licensing objectives under the Licensing Act 2003, one of which is the prevention of crime and disorder.

"Wetherspoon uses CCTV (including body cameras) to uphold this objective, often at the request of the police.

"Body cameras do record sound and images, but only when switched on, for example in the event of an incident."

Mr Gershon said anyone with queries about how and why their image is stored can contact Wetherspoon’s Data Queries team at head office.

The EU Hierarchy would never have agreed a Deal that wasn't in their favour.

I'm pretty sure Boris knows that a huge section of the UK population couldn't give a toss about what we end up with and those that do are so fed up after three and a half years of political drivel they'll except anything!

Even those of us that think a clean break would work wonders for the UK economy and encourage serious Businesses to return to the UK with High value jobs, Training and employment contracts that one can plan a future on. Are having to accept that our toothless governments are part of the problem and that there's no solution without some sort of revolution!

Wetherspoons boss Tim Martin, a long time supporter of Brexit said that once No Deal was taken 'off the table, where's the bargaining power?'

Mr Martin added a No Deal Brexit meant the country could 'regain control of fishing' in a couple of weeks.

Even if a deal was passed tomorrow he said: 'Every step of the way, The Brexit Party will ensure that we're not sold down the river.'
